Cake Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
Things I would have done differently the first time. 1. I would have made my white cake with the egg whites only and not baked it so long. 2. I would have not have thinned out my chocolate with Crisco. I really like to use Nestle white chocolate chips for dipping. I used two bags of the chips.

Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
Great for BATS! Great for REINDEER! I added an extra egg yolk. I rolled the dough between two sheets of saran wrap to 1/2 inch thick, dipped the cutter in in cocoa, and baked the cookies for 10 minutes. Use a great icing recipe that hardens with a shine to paint the reindeer white. I frosted with chocolate frosting and put down Halloween m and m's for the eyes. Spooky and Delicious.

I loved this recipe. The only thing I kept out was the curry. And I put the broiler on for the last 1-3 minutes.

Chai Tea Mix

What a wonderful recipe. I did add the nutmeg and allspice 1 teaspoon of each . I only made one modification (from other's reviews) I cut the sugar down to 1 1/2 cups. And I have done it with Splenda before to make it more lo-cal.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I use garlic powder instead of the garlic salt. Also, I double the margarine and Worcestershire sauce. After roasting the seeds as the recipe says, I put the seeds on cookie sheets and sprinkle with Lawry's salt, bake them for one more hour, mix them up, and let them sit overnight in the closed oven.

Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
Requires more cooking time. At least 6 hours on low, 4-5 hours on high. I left the skins on the potatoes. Giving it four stars, because it is pretty bland. Add some spice if you are making it.

Monkey Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
1. Line your pan with tin foil and spray with butter Pam-then when they're cool lift them out to a cutting board, pull the foil away from sides, and take a large knife to cut them into triangles-no waste, broken bars, or mess. 2. Initially bake for 18 minutes. 3. Return to oven for 2nd bake for 5 minutes. 4. Double the peanut butter frosting recipe for frosting lovers. (Great recipe!)

Donut Muffins

Really good. This recipe makes 24 mini muffins, not 12 (Pampered Chef pan and small Pampered Chef scoop). You only need to bake for 12 minutes. I used 1/2 cup butter to roll them in. Let them cool really well. Then roll in butter, put in a paper bag with sugar/cinnamon mix and lightly toss-the butter absorbs into the paper bag so they're not too greasy.

LOVE THIS! Wisked in cocoa first, then I added in the other ingredients-added in 1/2 cup more of oatmeal.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
I liked the recipe because it called for 3 packages of cream cheese. I decreased the sugar to 1 cup for the cream cheese mixture. I did also make it with adding two eggs, this will give it more of a "cheesecake" texture and taste. But I also like it without the eggs, it make the filling more dense. The first time I made it when I kept it in for 45 minutes, and this was too dark for my taste. It came out nice and golden at 35 minutes. If you like a thicker crust, you can use the larger crescent rolls that are out now. I still prefer a thinner crust though.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
I added about 1/4 cup more graham cracker crumbs. I kept the 1/2 cup of butter the same for the topping, but i increased the semi-sweet chocolte chips to 2 cups. I put it in a 9X13 pan to make them extra thick! I put aluminum foil in the pan so i just had to lift them out and put them on a cutting board and cut them.

I didn't have Crisco, so I used all butter. I loved the cookie! I used a medium Pampered Chef scoop. The cookie keeps its shape well to the size it's pressed.
