Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Very easy to make, thats always a plus! Also was very good. In the cinnamon sugar mixture I subbed 1/3 cup of brown sugar, it was good but next time I will use regular sugar to see which combo is better. Made the house smell great while it was cooking.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
This was good, I think next time I will add more ground meat, seemed like 1 lb was definitely not enough, I used 1/4 of worchester sauce and used a packet of gravy mix with one cup of water. I also added some garlic with the onion.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Super easy and my family really liked it, what more could you want. I used 1/2 cup ketchup and 1/2 cup bbq sauce. I used thin sliced pork chops so I baked 25 mins covered and then 10 mins uncovered. Also sliced an onion and threw it on top of the mixture for added flavor.

Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
This came out very tasty and delicious The only changes I made was to add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp of ginger turned out great. I also used 1 of those larger graham cracker crusts.

Lite Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This was good but a little dense and heavy, but definitely a good alternative to super fattening carrot cake. I did as others suggested used 1 cup of applesauce, 2 tbl of oil and 2 cups of carrots. I also added about a cup of walnuts and a can of drained crushed pineapple. Will be making this again whan I'm in the mood for carrot cake.

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This was ok. It came out a little heavy for my tastes. Filling was like fudge. I am a self professed chocoholic and it was too much chocolate for me.

Glazed Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
These were ok. They are definitely dense, I was looking for a more lemony taste. I made these as mini muffins, baked them for about 15 mins, made a lot of mini muffins! I cut the topping in half and had a little left over. The topping does make a lot! The glaze seemed to roll right off the muffins. The next day I made a lemon glaze and colored it with red and green food coloring, drizzled this over the cookies, they look real nice on my Christmas cookie trays.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This was my first attempt at gingerbread men, these cookies were great. At first I had a real hard time working with the dough, tried rolling it in parchment and wax paper, but that actually seemed to be harder for me. As soon as I used a lot of flour on my rolling out surface I had no trouble at all working with the dough. All the flour did not affect the taste of the cookies at all! Absolutely delicious!

Meatball Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
These were very tasty and fairly easy to make once I got the dough to the right consistency. I did not have ground cloves or the all spice, I added extra nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon to try and make up for the cloves. They came out great. When glazing the cookies I gave up on using a teaspoon to spoon it over the cookies, I just started dipping the cookies right in the glaze ended up being much easier. My Italian mom has been making these for years and she said mine were very good. Thanks for the recipe!

Pistachio Cream Cheese Fingers

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I followed this recipe exactly, the cookies were very easy to make and very tasty. I had absolutely no problem with the dough, I put the dough in the freezer for an hour before rolling my fingers. Be sure that your butter and cream cheese is softened and not melted. I think that is the trick to non-sticky dough. I had pulled out the butter and cream cheese and let them sit on the counter for a couple hours before making the recipe.
