Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I was out of instant powder, but had cocoa on hand. Tried this recipe and it is GREAT! I only wanted 1/4 batch and love how the site changed the measurements for me. Made it with my 2 year old and she loves it, too. I didn't have half and half, but just added a bit more milk and it turned out fine. I will never use the instant stuff again!!!!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
My husband just made this tonight and it was the BEST ham I have ever eaten. Neither one of us have ever made a ham before, but if we ever do again this will be the recipe we use!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
This is THE BEST buttercream frosting! I've been trying to decorate cakes for a couple of years and haven't been able to "perfect" the buttercream recipe. THIS IS IT! I had no idea that you could whip up shortening all by itself just like that even with a hand mixer. My husband almost ate a spoon full of just shortening because it looked so delicious! It decorates a cake nicely, pipes well, and tastes great. If you like a buttery taste, you may want to substitute a bit of butter in the recipe, but it was good for me. It crusts a bit too so you can smooth it using the paper towel trick to look like fondant... everyone thought I used fondant. So easy, so delicious. I will never use a different recipe again.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
I have made this a few times and it is spectacular! I made the mistake of using low fat cream cheese and it didn't turn out nearly as well. I added crushed oreos and used it as a filling in my daughters b-day cake and got tons of compliments! Delicious!!!

Easiest, Most Delicious Meringue Buttercream

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
It took me 2 tries to get this one right. The first time I didn't heat the eggs long enough--- second time I made sure ALL the sugar was dissolved. Turned out light and silky, but a bit too buttery. Overall pretty good

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Just made this for my daughter's birthday cake and it is the BEST!!! I have made it into cupcakes, but reduce the amount of oil to 3/4c otherwise a bit to oily but still not bad. DELICIOUS!!!!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
I just made this tonight and it was fantastic! All I had was frozen pre-cooked shrimp (I dethawed it first!) and it turned out great. My husband who normally isn't a big fan of shrimp didn't leave any leftovers. My 1-year-old loved it too! Thanks for the great recipe

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I have made this recipe multiple times and it is so easy and SO tasty... my husband leaves no leftovers! In a pinch I have made it with mozzerella cheese or the powdered parmesan and it still turns out good. I have recommended this recipe to many others, and they all love it too!

The Best Unbaked Cherry Cheesecake Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
The first time I made this, my dog ate the whole thing (oops, shouldn't have left it outside to chill!)- he didn't get sick, so it must have been good. I tried again, and it is absolutely delicious. Has a lighter and fluffier texture than your "standard" cheesecake. I like my cheesecake plain & it definitely doesn't need anything on top. I did bake the crust and reduce the sugar. I have one chilling in the fridge right now and can't wait to eat it!!

Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
This was my first attempt at making a cheesecake after many failures years ago... it turned out perfect! Absolutely delicious. I did have a few small bubbles on top, but no cracks. I took it by my mom for Easter and everyone loved it. She took the leftovers to work and they loved it, too. This was the best!!!
