Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
These taste great! I followed the recipe exactly, except made more cinnamon sugar mix as other users suggested. My cookies were a bit flat, but I'm inclined to think that it's because of my semi-old baking soda. Next time, I think i'll made these cookies a bit bigger so the cracks can really show. They kept well for a few days, but not as long as some other cookies. By day 4 or 5, they were too hard and weren't really salvaged well by the ol' microwave trick. But overall a great recipe!

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Awesome recipe! I omitted the coconut just because I didn't have any. I also used a food processor, but I shredded the apples and carrots very small, because I didn't want to have whole pieces of the carrot. Used walnuts and California raisins, although I wish I had chopped the walnuts a little larger because their texture was a bit lost. This made 12 muffins exactly, however I had to bake them a bit longer (around 25-27 minutes). Just tried one and they're great! Thank you!

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
This is a great recipe! I added some herbs and s&p to the bread crumbs (panko). I also pounded the chicken breasts, so they cooked faster than 40 minutes. Other than that, followed the recipe pretty exactly. Didn't double bread, or bake on a rack. It was delicious - great recipe!

Blueberry Turnovers

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
This is a great simple recipe/idea. Like the reviews suggested, I also simply mixed the blueberries with the sugar in a bowl instead of adding them separately to the dough. If you pack too many blueberries in, it does leak out and can make the pastry soggy. It's definitely important to seal the pastry well before baking! I've used other fruits with this too, but a real favorite was Nutella :). Thanks for the recipe!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Great recipe! I follow it exactly, and it comes out great every time. I sometimes sub out the thighs for breasts so be a bit healthier, but it does taste better with the thighs. Thanks for this recipe!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Wow! I never knew making apple sauce could be so easy. I now make this often, but I substitute splenda for sugar. I also sometimes use this recipe for dessert toppings (without mashing the apples). Thanks!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
I've made this a couple times, and it always comes out great! The first time, I followed the recipe exactly and bought the boneless pork ribs. They, of course, were delicious. After that first time, I've been using pork butt, and it comes out just as good - much cheaper and more available too. Like other reviewers, I don't think 4 hours is long enough. I let mine sit for at least 8 hours. Thanks for the recipe!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These came out OK. I used exactly the ingredients listed, same brand and all, and I thought they were a bit too sweet. Next time I think I'll use a more high quality bittersweet chocolate.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These were great! I was debating between all the different oatmeal choc-chip recipes on this website; but I'm glad I chose this one! The cookies came out cripsy on the edges, and chewy in the middle. Delicious! I made sure not to over mix and they came out perfect. Thanks for the recipe.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
These were great! I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added a bit more milk, did not overmix, and they turned out amazing! I also halved the crumble mixture recipe and still had lots leftover (although I only used a tiny bit on each muffin). They were done in 18 min or so with my 6-muffin pan. Great recipe!
