About this Cook
I LOVE chocolate and ALL Recipes! I am throwing out all my old cookbooks!
My favorite things to cook
Things that look and taste "oh so gourmet" but take very little effort to prepare!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just being with family. The two females (mom and Grandma) are both deceased so I'm at it alone with no one to teach except those who post recipes on ALL RECIPES. Thanks all for teaching me some great recipes!
My cooking triumphs
Getting my husband to say...you should make this again! Most of the time it's, "I wouldn't request it." NOT because I am a bad cook, everyone else LOVES my cooking. Because we grew up with very different cooking styles. He wants plain fish, no butter or anything. I want to always dress stuff up and make it exotic.
My cooking tragedies
Breads...rolls...pastries. Also anything that requires a lot of time. Too many little ones running around for that!

Chicken Lasagna Alfredo
This will be making it's way into dinner rotation. I substituted cottage cheese and cream cheese blend for the ricotta, added some garlic, salt, pepper, onions, & basil for flavor and everyone enjoyed it. Easy recipe especially if you already have cooked chicken on hand. My kids didn't even complain about the "GREEN' stuff in it. A crowd pleaser from my 15 month old to my 15 yr. old.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw
The best way to get your kids to eat cabbage! The prefect amount of sweetness...my daughter's fav "salad"! We have never made it with poppy seeds and just as good! Also...we hardly ever wait 2 hours....let alone 20 minutes to eat. We toss the slaw with the dressing and it usually goes straight to the table. Just as good as the leftovers the next day. Thanks for the recipe! this is the only one I use now!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
Only altered the garlic powder to a Tbsp. of minced garlic. This was outstanding! Not sure where the other's described it as too sweet? It was flavored perfectly. Since the meat fell apart (so tender!)we just put it on rolls, then used the broth as an au jus dipping sauce. So yummy! This will go as a fav in the house. My 5 year old kept asking me "Can I have more of THAT MEAT mom?"
