Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Incredible. Very heavy bread due to all of the bananas. Comes out very moist. Also yummy with chocolate chips!

Oat Crusted Fish

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
This was awesome- but I made a few changes. In the egg/milk mixture, I added 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup because I wanted a sweet flavor. Instead of cod, I used halibut. To cook, I baked it in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes. I also made a maple syrup/butter drizzle (1/4 cup maple syrup & 1 tablespoon butter) to put over it. Finally, I broiled it for a couple of minutes at the end to make it crispy. It was AMAZING-- my boyfriend said that it was better than the granola-crusted fish from a local restaurant that I was trying to replicate!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
I finally made this after having it in my recipe box for 2 years. I served it to my entire family. My grandmother ate 3 pieces, so I guess it lives up to it's name!

Balsamic Chicken and Fresh Mozzarella

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
This was one of the first dishes I made for company when I was learning to cook, and it was SO easy. Now I have become an avid cook, but I still make this often. It really impresses people because it looks more complicated than it is.

Mmmm! Every bite has massive flavor! If you don't like spicy, don't make this... but my boyfriend and I LOVED it!

Lamb Tagine

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
Mmmmm! The first time I made this it cost a lot because I had to go buy so many spices. But after that, it is not a pricey meal to make! Get good lamb (I like to get it at Whole Foods, even if I spend a few extra $$). The hallway in our apartment building smelled for a few days from cooking this, but I love the smell so it was no problem for me (hopefully my neighbors liked it too!).

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
These are so easy. I usually add a little extra white wine, some more tomatoes, and extra garlic for even more flavor. You must have some good crusty bread to dip in the sauce!! I've also served this over pasta, which is good too!

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
These are amazing. I served them to my dad, who usually eats canned baked beans. He and everyone else LOVED them. We got black forest bacon from Whole Foods to go all out-- thick and yummy. The flavor is the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and salty. Yum!

Raisin Farfel Kugel

AMAZING. I brought this to my parents' for Passover. There were 20 people and everyone loved it. It does have a lot of cholesterol, so I later experimented using only egg whites and smart balance spread... it still tastes great!! Thanks for the amazing recipe!
