Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
I substituted the shortening for butter but kept the rest of the recipe the same. Very good! Even my step-son-who is 6 yr old and a picky eater- loved it.

Garlic Spaghetti

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
I substituted the 1/4 cup olive oil with unsalted butter but added extra virgin olive oil in at the end (around 2 tsp). I skipped the parmesan since I didn't have any and it still was very good!

My boyfriend works at a high-end Italian restaurant so when I can cook something he likes, I am thrilled! Very moist, tender and scrumptious! Thanks. :)

Spaghetti Pizza I

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
Mmmm! I love this recipe! The only thing I did different was add 26oz of spaghetti sauce instead of 16oz. This is a definite keeper. :)

Brined Bratwurst

Yum!! I love balsamic vinegar so I added more to it than called for. They were plump, juicy and just all-around good. I think next time, I will cut the onion in half though.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Very good but it needed some coloring to it. I think next time I will use Grand biscuits also instead of generic brand. :P

Hearty Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I used the "lasagna ready" pasta and cooked the specified time and it still was not done. I also think the 3 cups of ricotta cheese was too much for this dish. I baked it uncovered as instructed and it just didn't seem to hit the spot for me or my boyfriend. Semi-good taste but it needs changes.

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
Per suggestions and comments, I also made some changes. I added two cloves garlic and a small onion to the beef while browning. I also added in some seasoned diced tomatoes w/basil, garlic and green pepper. I went ahead and did 2 cups of mozz cheese since that's all I had. Surprisingly the leftovers the next day did taste like lasagna! A very good and heartwarming meal.

I used 1/2 tbsp of minced fresh garlic and kept the rest the same. This is by far my favorite garlic butter. Thanks!
