Curried Popcorn

A delightful twist for a change. Not 'better' than another recipe I have (onion soup mix) but a nice change and worthy of making again.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Quite delicious. I lost my original adobo chicken recipe given by a Filippino friend. This one is almost exact in flavor, yet easier to cook in the crock pot. I will use this again.

Christmas Egg Puff

Nothing to write home about. It was good. Not great. Not terrible, just filled our stomachs xmas morning. Was looking for something less sweet, more protein, yet simple and special, but will go back to the baked french toast next year.

Southern Pulled Pork

Wonderful! followed recipe as is, adding bbq sauce only w/ serving. Husband was exceptionally pleased and took leftovers for lunch. That's always a good sign.

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
It was so sweet. I had to mix it w/ another recipe of whip cream and cream cheese just to cut the sweetness. I gave it a two star instead of one only because I was able to ice the cake as a base frosting- no decorating.

More work than I normally put into an "everyday" meal, but will admit, I was groveling and this scored me some points ;)

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

absolutely the best! a little hard to decorate w/ but not impossible. (15 yr. cake decorator) Mostly just getting a deep color was the challenge, other than that it was sinfully delicious!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
I knew it was too good to be true. I agree w/ another review "if it looks like chicken, smells like chicken, tastes like chicken, it must be chicken." It was ok. I will use the leftovers in a pot pie.

Garlic Prawns

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
I was suprised that I didn't like it. I was pretty excited w/ the ingredients. I think I'd like to try it on something like asparagus, but on the prawns (my husband caught that day) the flavor was overpowered by the citrus. There was no prawn flavor at all. To top it off I didn't care much for the texture from grilling. Next time I'll stick to the old fashioned method.

Asian Rainbow Trout

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
Let me start by saying, my husband gave this at least a 6! Today was 'opening fishing' day, so my husb. & sons along w/ 3 next door neighbors went bright and early. I was ready w/ fry pan in hand. Normally I make Trout Amandine, so they were a bit skeptical. I mixed olive oil & some sesame. My husband won't stop gushing, and the other guys loved it too! Thanks :)

I have made this a "staple" of meals. We have it often now. It tastes like a great expensive cut of steak. Cheap (stock up when L.B is on sale) Easy, fast, Delicious!
