Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
This recipe is really tasty. I added about 1/4 c. extra (natural)pb, 1/2 c. extra oats and a cup of raisins. I switched the amounts of brown and white sugar as several other reviews suggested. I baked them for 6 min and they came out really moist and tasty. Next time I would up the oats even more as they were a little greasy and cut the sugar a bit because they were a little sweet for my taste. Definitely a keeper :-)

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
I was super excited to make this recipe after reading all the wonderful reviews. It smelled pretty good, but was VERY dry and fairly tasteless. I cooked it for 10 hours on the "keep warm" setting of my crock pot. I realize that this is longer than the recipe states, but I lowered the temperature and my chicken weighed 8 lbs while the recipe called for a 3 pounder. I would not make this recipe again. I gave it 2 stars because it was still edible even if it wasn't very good. We made the leftovers into chicken and buiscuits. Adding gravy helped this chicken a lot.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2006
These were really good. I took them to work and got lots of compliments :-) I subbed unsweetened chocolate + sugar for the semisweet that was melted in the first step since that's what I had on hand. They taste so much like brownies that next time I will try baking them in a pan so I can skip the chilling in the fridge.

Tofu Parmigiana

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2004
I thought that I hated tofu but this recipe changed my mind. I will be making this frequently. I recommend keeping the tofu slices 1/4 inch or less, one of mine was thicker and that one tasted a little too much like tofu. I omitted the garlic, oregano and basil and used 3 cheese spaghetti sauce in place of tomato sauce. Rather than fire up the oven I added the spaghetti sauce to the pan that the tofu had browned in, turned the heat down very low, put the tofu back in, topped with cheeses, covered the skillet and let it simmer until the cheese was melted and the tofu hot. I also followed the advice of others and dipped the tofu in an egg beaten with a little milk before dredging in breadcrumbs instead of water. My boyfriend cooked extra spaghetti because he thought the tofu would be so gross he couldn't eat it but he liked it so much that he ate 4 slices!

Chicken and Asparagus Fettuccine

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
This is a tasty but badly written recipe. This was my first alfredo sauce and I had no idea that you could not boil alfredo sauce or it would curdle and separate. The directions that told me to cook it until bubbly made me think that boiling was what needed to be done. Also, the cheese is supposed to be added slowly in batches. Even though it looked wicked gross it still tasted very good, but I never could have served it to company.

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
I read in the allrecipes cheesecake hints that cheesecakes should be baked in a water bath, so that's what I did for this one. Unfortunately, i didn't wrap the pan tightly enough with tinfoil and the cheesecake got a little wet, but it was still fabulous! I will keep this recipe, but next time I will put my pan in a trimmed down turkey cooking oven bag to be sure there are no leaks.

Pink Valentine Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
This was WAY too much salt for such a small frosting recipe. I mixed it up according to the recipe and thank goodness I tasted it before putting it on my cookies because they would have been ruined and I was planning to give them away as gifts. I quadrupled the rest of the ingredients while leaving the salt at 1/4 tsp and it turned out ok. I also replace the water with milk.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
This was very delicious, but no more delicious than most apple crisps that i've had.... Apple crisp is pretty hard to mess up as long as you've got the basics in your recipe.

Baked French Fries II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
I have made this recipe at least 30 times. I like them almost as much as real french fries and they are so much healthier. I use garlic salt instead of the toppings in the recipe and they are quite good. I recently moved into an apartment where the oven is broken and these fries are the one thing that makes me miss having an oven the most.

My roommates and I both liked these muffins. They were very chewy instead of greasy like a lot of muffins are.

London Broil II

Yum. This recipe took a cheap tough piece of meat and made it tender and o so delicious. I left out the oregano because I didn't have any and it was still great. I'll definitely make this again!

yum. i made these to mail to a friend and ended up eating half of them. i added an extra blob of peanut butter and used peanut butter and milk chocolate chips. very soft and chewy but you have to take them out long before they look done (they really are done).

Orange Island Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2004
this was very tasty. i used clementine juice instead of orange and onion soup mix because i didn't have any onion powder. i also added a dash of worcestershire sauce. i doubled the sauce for only 2 chicken breasts and cooked it in a skillet until the sauce was thick. yum.

Garlic Lime Chicken

this recipe was very easy and very tasty. i added a third clove of garlic and doubled the lime juice because i had read in other reviews that it was hard to taste the lime with only 1/4 c. i would definitely make it again.
