Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I LOVED THIS RECIPE. I used a container of fluff I placed in the fridge overnight, and omitted any use of butter. Mixed entirely by hand.. was hard but WORTH IT. So tasty! My first fondant experience.. can't wait to do it again!

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
This recipe was awesome. I usually try to make a new recipe as written, but I didn't have Angel Food Cake so I made a banana cake (I cheated: I used a mix) in a 9x11 inch pan. I also only used 12 ounces of cream cheese (an 8 ounce brick and a half) and about 3/4 of the tub of cool whip. I didn't use a glaze either, because the taste of it is just yucky sometimes. I used Strawberry Preserves! Everyone LOVED IT. I didn't have to add any additional strawberries to the preserves. Very easy. WILL MAKE AGAIN!

Berry Shortbread Dreams

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
Was a nice recipe. I usually don't like recipes where chilling of the dough is required, but these were worth it! I chilled mine in the freezer for 35 minutes, then 15 in the fridge and they were very managable. I also used the top to a 2-liter soda bottle to make the indents. These seemed to enlarge the cookies quite a bit, which is why I think they needed another 5-7 minutes extra baking time, at least for me. :) I used Apricot, Strawberry and Blackberry jams. Strawberry was the biggest hit, followed by Apricot.

Easy Chocolate Crackled Cookies

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
These cookies tasted great. I did make a change though: Instead of using the 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening, I used 1/4 cup plain shortening, and 1/4 cup butter. I beat those two ingredients together with the eggs and water, with a handmixer. I stirred in the cake mix by hand. A TIP: My batter turned out to be very stickey. I didn't want to chill it and have to wait, so I just took small spoonfuls of the batter, dropped it in the confectioners sugar, covered it completely, THEN used my hands to mush it into a ball shape, while still in the sugar. They still looked pretty in my opinion! Check out my picture. :)
