Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This was great! I doubled the recipe and made it in a 9 x 13 baking dish, using my own crust. Next time I think it would tasty to use green chilies in addition to or in place of the green peppers. This can be very versatile.

Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Used this for our Christmas breakfast. The only variation I made was to use half whole wheat and half white flour. It was great!

Great recipe and very easy. I skipped the raisins and pecans (didn't have them) and added peanut butter chips and coconut. Rave reviews!

Coconut Carrots

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
This was so simple and REALLY good!. I did make some additions as I was bringing this for a side dish to a potluck. I added cayanne pepper (about 1/8 t) and a few good shakes of red pepper flakes while it was simmering. I also toasted unsweetened coconut and sprinkled that on top after cooking, along with a handful of chopped cilantro. I got lots and lots of compliments on this dish.

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Great recipe! I adapted my own butternut squash soup recipe to this one, which means I also have (small) diced red bell pepper which I add with the onions, etc the saute stage. The sherry & 1/2 and 1/2 make this especially delicious. Thanks for this one!

Hungarian Flourless Hazelnut Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I loved this cake, as did my Christmas company! One thing I would change is the final product. Because I could only cut it into two layers--and because when you cover with whipped cream you are committed to keeping it cold and/or must eat it right away--I will leave it in one layer next time and add a generous dollop of whipped cream when plated. One other thing, I added about a tablespoon of sugar and about 3 tablespoons of rum to the cream while whipping. This added a little more dimension to the whipped cream. Thanks for this recipe! It's a keeper.

Kiki's Borracho (Drunken) Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I just made this for dinner tonight. We all loved it! The only variation I made was leaving out the chicken stock (because I didn't have any). In it's place a used water and about a cup of chopped Canadian bacon(I did have on hand) and it gave a subtle flavor to the recipe. We ate it with crusty bread and a salad. Thanks very much for this one. It's a keeper!

Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
This is great! The whole family loved it--even knowing there was peanut butter in it. (Though I told them after.) Like other reviewers, I worked with the veggies I had on hand, which makes this really versatile. The peanut butter is definitely the star ingredient. I'll definitely use this again! Thank you.
