Quinoa and Black Beans

This was the first time i made Quinoa. This recipe was awesome! The only change i made was adding red pepper to the onion/garlic, and using heaping spoons of the spices it called for. definately in the rotation!

this is the best pulled pork recipe. ive made it 4 times. great for parties! i found the best bbq sauce to use is Jack Daniels original.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

I used venison with this. turned out good but needed more seasoning. i cut mine lengthwise, used diced tomatoes, chicken broth instead of water, more cheese and only one can of tomato soup, doubled the worch, added italian seasonings and garlic. next time i would add more salt and seasnings, but it was good.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

the recipe is super easy. the pastry cutter is a must. the rolling and the manipulation is time consuming. it does make enough for 3 pies, but its easier to have more than less so i didnt see it as a problem.

Lentil and Sausage Soup

this was amazing. i was really skeptical the whole time becuase it's really not very good "looking", but it was really the best soup. My changes: 1lb habanero chicken sausage 2 stalks of celery 6 cups of water low sodium chicken broth no salt added diced tomatos 1/2 tsp curry powder red pepper flakes no pasta

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

The flavor was good, i was worried that it would take away from the sweetness of the potato, but it didnt seem to. i also turned them and sprayed them with pam during cooking and it made them crispier.

Spanish Rice II

excellent! this was the first time ive made spanish rice. i used olive oil and sauted the onions, pepper, and garlic - THEN threw in the rice and browned it really well. i also used chicken broth instead of water and added 1/2tsp cumin. it was awesome!

Sloppy Joes II

Great recipe. Will never by manwich again. I followed the ingredients exactly and added a tsp of worchesire and i added some chopped jalapenos for an extra kick. it turned out wonderful. i did not simmer, after adding the sauce to the ground beef i just cooked it on med-low until it was warm which was only about 10 mins. cant wait to make it again!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

This is a great recipe. it was not too wet AT ALL. I think the confusion is a can of tuna is 5oz, not 7oz. I used 2 cans (10 oz) and kept all the current measurments, but added another tablespoon or two of mayo. This recipe is very adaptable too - it would work well if you wanted to add celery, eggs, or anything else you like.

this was a great recipe! i made this recipe exactly as it said - for the most part. i could not find cayanne pepper - so i used red pepper flakes. i also added a little more of all the seasonings. it turned out perfect!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

great recipe! turned out wondeful - better than frozen. i made the following adjustments from reading reviews: 1/2tsp of poultry season, 1/4tsp of garlic powder, added 2 chicken bullion cubes to the boiling water, baked the pie shell for 7 mins before filling, i also added the whole can of chicken broth, and used 3/4c of milk.
