Mushroom Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
I used oregano instead of marjoram, used cornstarch instead of flour, added halved cherry tomatoes to the mushroom gravy, and will use some sherry or other red wine when mixing with the cornstarch. Everyone LOVED it -- even the kids!!!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Very good! (Even with the help of a 2 1/2 year old!) I did add a couple tablespoons extra milk to get the consistency I wanted. This will be going on top of a chocolate cake!

Chicken and Stuffing Skillet

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
Pretty good to eat, but not to look at. Turned out mushy but till edible. I added some brussell sprouts to mine and cut the chicken up before adding it back to the pan of stuffing. I also didn't add the cheese but only because I'm making a bunch of dinners at once and needed the pan. My husband will more than likely add cheese to it anyway.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
These are so freakin' good!! I used 1 1/4 cup whole grain flour and 3/4 cup white flour, just under 1 cup sugar, and added an extra cup chocolate chips. I also added an extra VERY ripe banana to the wet ingredients before adding the flour mixture. Baked at 375 for 10 minutes! So moist and just awesome. Can't say enough about these. Thanks so much for the awesome recipe!!!

French Egg and Bacon Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2007
We LOVED this! It is a great idea. The best thing about it -- I only used one pan! Cooked the bacon, then the eggs, and finally the french toast. Instead of using 2 eggs for the french toast, I used 3. And I also added cinnamon and vanilla to the eggs/milk. I also used 2 eggs per sandwich. It was very yummy!! Will definately make again. Thanks so much!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
Doesn't taste much like "real" alfredo sauce, but still good. Was thick, but maybe I didn't add enough milk. Will make again if I need a quick, easy recipe. But will look for another recipe that doesn't use cream.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2006
Love this!! It's the only recipe I use. The only thing that I do differenly is to make muffins instead of loaves. Takes about 21 or 22 minutes in the oven.

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
We absolutely love this recipe! I've made it many times in many different ovens. When I first started making it, it was really gooey but the top was over cooked. I then found out that the bottom heating element of my oven wasn't working. Anyway, after getting that fixed it comes out perfect every single time. I've started making then into muffins and they are wonderful!!! I don't add nuts and I sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar on top of batter before baking. Sometimes I add a layer of chocolate, white choc, peanut butter or butterscotch chips in the middle. About 30 minutes in the oven is perfect timing.

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
Instead of using ground beef, we crumbled 4 frozen turkey burgers and it tasted really good. And we used corn instead of green beans. My fiance had almost half the pan for dinner and just finished the rest of it for lunch today. Reheated very well.

Eddie's Special Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
These turned out good. My fiance made them and he couldn't get them thin enough. We used Muenster cheese and didn't use any italian dressing. The mushrooms and onions were perfect. Just like a regular hamburger; very good!

Macaroni and Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
I really enjoyed this dish. I didn't cook the macaroni long enough (I'm not that good at 'al dente'). It tasted like cold tuna casserole but without the fattening cream of mushroom soup (don't get me wrong--that soup is still very good to use and tastes excellent). Works very well as leftovers for a cold lunch when you don't have access to a microwave.

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
This was very juicy and tender! My fiance made it and didn't know that he had to heat the oil for 15 minutes before cooking it, so it wasn't all that blackened. It was still very tasty to eat. Served with baked potato and italian bread.

Spaghetti with Garlic, Herbs, and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
This was ok. We didn't have or use any marjoram and my fiance thinks that if we would of had that then it would have been better. It seemed a little bland to me. If we make it again, we'll experiment with other spices.

Bok Choy Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
I had never had Bok Choy before now and it wasn't that bad. It didn't have much flavor in it itself but the rest of the flavors were wonderful! Maybe I didn't have that good of Bok Choy to begin with. I may make it again but I will make sure that I have really fresh Bok Choy.

Angel Hair Pasta With Fresh Tomatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
We used a lot more vegetables than was listed. Also used broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower along with the zucchini and tomatoes. We didn't have any yellow squash but that was ok. It seemed very healthy with all the vegetables so I liked that just as much as I like the taste of this.

Emily's Famous Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
We haven't had Sloppy Joes in such a long time. And when my fiance heard that I was going to make them, he got very excited. We only used about 2 cloves of garlic and it still seemed like too much. Next time we'll only use one. Sloppy Joes are great for my fiance because he is a sloppy eater and his name is Joe! He loves them!!
