Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: May 14, 2013
This was very tasty! Nice strong flavors from the steak seasoning with a slight tang from the balsamic vinegar. I used 1 packet of 'McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak seasoning' and marinated for 12 hours. And I used boneless pork chops instead of a whole pork loin. I thickened the sauce by making a slurry using 2 Tbls. dry red wine with 2 Tbls. cornstarch. It worked perfectly and I think it needed it. The red wine complemented the sauce perfectly. I think I'll try this recipe with chicken cutlets next time! A great easy recipe!

Apple and Feta Pan Fried Pizzas

Reviewed: May 8, 2013
I loved this! All the flavors work so well together...from the sharpness of the red onions to the salty feta with the sweet apples and herby thyme ontop of the hearty fried dough! I made it as written except I added 1 tsp. of sugar to apples as I sauteed them. And I used store bought pizza dough. Frying the dough is a must because it gives a totally different flavor to the dough. This is a nice light lunch or snack.

Merry Mango Sauza®-Rita

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
This was very good! I made it as written using equal parts fresh lemon juice, water and sugar for the sour mix. I chilled the cocktail in the freezer for about an hour, then poured it over ice! All the flavors blend well together. This drink is not too strong! I don't think you can go wrong with Sauza! Very refreshing!

Rosemary Lemon Margarita

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
This was my first time using Sauza tequila and I loved it! To me, it has very herbaceous notes. I made this recipe using thyme instead of rosemary because I'm just not a fan of that herb. But even if you omitted the herb it was still be a very flavorful drink using Sauza tequila! I also only used 1/2 the amount of lemon because I didn't want it to be to tart. I doubled the tequila because it was too weak as written...and I'm not a 'strong drink' type of person! I am very happy with this brand of tequila and I can't wait to try more cocktails using Sauza!

Morning Terrace Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2013
This was very good! I used Johnsonville chicken chipolte fully cooked sausage. My kids like scrambled eggs and will never eat sunnyside-up eggs so I whisked the eggs before adding them ontop and pushed them into the topping ingredients with a fork making sure all the eggs seeped in. I used mozzarella instead of fontina and green onion instead of chives! I baked this in homemade semolina bread rounds. We all loved this and had it for dinner instead of breakfast!

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
I made this recipe as other members suggested by using 4 oz. of cream cheese. I also increased the peppermint extract to a heaping 1/2 tsp. I didn't have powdered sugar so I used regular sugar which made my mints very grainy, but that's not the fault of the recipe! My mints were very sticky and hard to work with but the flavor was very good! Similar to a 'York Peppermint Pattie' candy, just without the chocolate coating! I didn't add any food coloring. I will have to try it again using powdered sugar and adding more powdered sugar until it's less sticky!

Spiced Coconut Coffee

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
I loved this coffee! It was a very unique, flavorful cup of coffee! I adapted this recipe for a single serve, instant, decaf, coffee method because I'm the only coffee drinker in the house! It worked perfectly! This is what I did...I brewed a cup of instant coffee in the microwave. Then in a tea bag sleeve I added the following spices as listed in the recipe...1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. ground cloves. I dipped this into my coffee and let it steep for 2 minutes. Removed the spice filled tea bag and added the honey and coconut milk. I also added 3 drops of coconut extract for extra coconut flavor! This was exactly what I wanted! I'll be drinking this alot from now on!

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
I made this as written and it was perfect! I marinated it for 24 hours. I grilled it until slightly pink. Then I put in on a baking sheet and covered it with tin foil. I let it finish cooking in the oven at 200 degrees for about 1 hour. This kept it soooo juicy and flavorful! I loved this! Just the right amount of sweet and savoury! I was so tempted to tweak it, but I didn't! It was perfect as is!

The John Collins Cocktail

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
I gave this a try when I saw LTH's photo! I had to make some changes according to what I had on hand! I subbed pink champagne for the club soda and a raspberry for the cherry. I also doubled the simple syrup because unlike LTH, I like sweet drinks! This was VERY good! John Collins can come to my party anytime! =D

Champagne Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
I don't know why other reviewers didn't like these cookies! I thought they were very good! They remind me of a sweet bread! I did have the same problem as other members...the dough was way too sticky to form into balls. Instead I just dropped them onto a parchment lined cookie sheet using a tablespoon measure melon baller. Then I sprinkled them with the nonpareils(multi-colored sprinkles). I baked them for 12 minutes and they were perfect! These are a nice soft cookie with a slightly crunchy edge. Not too sweet, which is how I like my cookies! And they did taste great with a glass of champagne! This is a good way to use up leftover champagne! I added a few photos!

Grands!® Fiesta Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
This was very good! I doubled the recipe and put it in a larger pan. I agree with Tiffany to add the cheese at the half way mark. This reminded me of a deep dish Mexican style pizza. I served up large portions of this with a side salad! A very filling dinner!

Grands!® Biscuit Taco Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
This was extremely good!!! I made it using my own chili recipe. Then I baked them in the Pillsbury Grand Biscuit cups. This is a great way to serve chili! These buttermilk biscuits go perfectly with chili. I will make this often!
