Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Its good but very tart. Could use more sugar to tame the tartness. I made 3 pies - two with rhubarb only and one with strawberry and rhubarb. Family really liked it but its not for everybody. I forgot to put the butter though so maybe this has something to do with the tartness? I will try it with butter next time. We will try the strawberry one on Thanksgiving.

Caramelized Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
SO GOOD! I also added nutmeg and forgot the ginger (will use it next time) but it was still super good. I think almonds would be really good this way too. Or cashews, maybe any kind of nut...

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Giving 4 stars since I had to make some mods. I used thighs since my baby doesnt care and its cheaper. I used the skin on and bone on for more flavor and added salt, pepper and paprika on the chicken. I also used the good ol carrot, peas and celery additions. I used only one can of the large biscuits and put them on for 2 hours. SO GOOD!

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
Extremely sweet, I would use less sugar. I doubled the recipe and I also added in some cooked asparagus and carrots at the end and added cornstarch to thicken up the sauce. Overall it was good and everyone liked it, it was just too sweet for my liking... but very easy to make.
