Grilled Asparagus
My kids have NEVER liked asparagus. They moaned and complained when I served it like this last night. I told them they both had to try 1 stalk, and that was it. They took one bite and then each grabbed 4 or 5 more stalks! They naturally like veggies anyways but this was a big hit with them! I read some of the reviews and did marinate in the olive oil for 20 min before putting it on the grill. I also used garlic salt as opposed to regular salt. Next time I think I'm gonna try the lemon pepper suggestion and see how that works out. Thanks for the great ideas!

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole
My family loves this stuff but I change it up just a bit. I use leftover chicken from rotisserie chickens because it adds good flavor. Instead of using onion soup mix, I use dried onions and cook them with the rice. Then I sprinkle the top with french fried onions. My family loves it this way. I also add a bit of garlic powder and pepper. No salt is usually necessary.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings
Biggest complaint I saw was it takes so long to make. Here's how I shortened it up and it was fabulous! 2 cans of chic breast 2 cans cream of chic soup + 1 can cream celery soup 2 cans of sliced potatoes 3 cups frozen veggies Onion flakes in place of onion chunks. I simmered meat, soup, and onion for 15 min, then I put in frozen veggies for 20 min, added biscuits and it was done. Didn't like it with store bought biscuits, for this Bisquick is much better! My mom totally cheats at it though. She uses canned chunky chicken noodle soup and adds 1 can of cream soup and biscuits. It doesn't taste the same as this recipe.
