Chris' Bay Area Burger

Oh man, that was amazing! I scaled the recipe down to one serving but then doubled the spices, and added a dash of wochestershire and a little mustard. Incredible! I'm doing Atkins so instead of a bun I ate the burger with sliced cucumbers, and the burger was so good I hardly missed the bun! These are a new lunch favorite.

Lemon Lover's Pound Cake

This rose a lot more than I thought it would for the small amount of baking soda in it. Luckily I left enough room for it to rise. I found the icing a bit runny so will probably use less lemon juice next time. But I will definitely be making this again!

Spanish Rice Bake

The first time I made this, I found the rice didn't cook all the way through. The second time, I cooked the rice in the microwave using chicken broth instead of water and mixed it all together before putting into the casserole dish. This really is a quite easy, inexpensive dish that I will make over and over!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Anything that saves time by using the breadmaker to make dough is great in my books. When I made the crescent shape, I connected the two ends of the dough to make a cute little roll. They came out perfect! Be sure and keep an eye on them while cooking - they go from golden to dark quite quickly.

Amy's Lavender Lemonade

This really was incredible. I used fresh lemons (no concentrate can compare) and instead of adding water, made a concentrate of just the boiled sugar-lavender water and the lemon juice. It saves space in the fridge and means everyone can adjust the strength to their own personal taste!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Incredible! I'm an American living in New Zealand, and there are no Cinnabons here, so having this was amazing. I cut the recipe in half and made twelve mini-cinnamon rolls, and they were the perfect size. My flatmates and I loved them.

Mexican Mole Sauce

Used a fresh chile pepper, and it was perfect. My flatmates looked at me like I was crazy when I was putting cocoa into a chicken dish. But they were delightfully surprised and said I should make it again!
