Apple Pie Shot

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2001
It was amazing. It tasted just like apple pie. You HAVE to make sure when you shoot it that you get the whipcream. I served it a bachelorette party and everyone loved it.

Oatmeal Banana Raisin Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2005
FANTASTIC!! My kids and I love these cookies!! I substituted whole wheat flour, crisco (for margarine--one kid is allergic to milk) and used craisins and dried blueberries instead of raisins. The crisco makes them more crispy and less cake like. This is definitely a keeper!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!

Fudgy Pudding Treats

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Very good not "fudgy" enough though. I substituted Sunbutter (sunflower seed spread) for the peanut butter since we have severe allergies. Kids said that they were a bit too sunbuttery tasting. Next time will reduce the amount to 1/4c. Definitely use sugar free. Very sweet otherwise. Will make again with SF products and less sunbutter.

Spicy Pear Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
Very good recipe. I did change part of it. I used 1/2c WW flour and 1c white. No nuts(allergies), added another diced pear. Did not use the icing (allergies again). The cookies were sweet enough that it does not need the icing. Next time I will reduce the amount of sugar. Thank you for the recipe! Perfect way to use up extra pears. :)

Pumpkin Pie Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
This was fantastic. I omitted the sugar since the cake and pie mix already had plenty. My family loved it. Will make again with a reduced sugar cake and see if anyone notices.

My family LOVED these. My youngest (4) begged to make more when they go back to school. Will definitely make again. Instead of wheat germ (didn't have any) I used grape nuts cereal.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
This is a staple for us! I made the following changes for us: reduced fat cream cheese, reduced fat crescents, 2/3c sugar instead of 1c. And for the cinnamon/sugar topping I used only a light dusting on top. Also cut the butter down to 1/4cup. We LOVE this dessert!

We loved these! I made a few changes. Used canola oil instead of shortening. I used 1.5c bananas (had 4 that needed to be used today!) I used only 1/2 the sugar (and used brown--I was out of white). They were fantastic!!!

Peppermint Patty Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
I love this recipe. I have found that I really like using junior mints in this. They melt more and really make them gooey. They also make a great "icing" on top. :-)

Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon-Mustard Dressing

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
Very very good! Didn't use mushrooms or swiss cheese (since I forgot to buy them-used some shredded Parmesan) and also left the almonds out for allergy reasons. Made the sauce as directed. SOOOOO good! Made a very nice addition to our Memorial Day BBQ. Will become a regular on our menu. Thank for sharing!
