Mom of a 4 year old picky eater, who hates her food "all together" and a little petite 20 month old piggy who will eat nearly everything; wife of a husband who rates most meals as "ok" but never truly complains or refuses to eat anything; I enjoy quiet time (I don't get that too much these days), coffee with my girlfriends, and dates with my hubby, which are few and far between these days!
My favorite things to cook
It has to be quick, easy and using ingredients I would normally have on hand (meaning nothing funky that costs an arm and a leg to make!) I also much prefer baking than cooking a real meal. Oh and it has to err on the side of healthy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sadly my mom didn't teach me too much...I think we were shooed out of the kitchen so I was left clueless when it was my time to start cooking!
My cooking triumphs
Well my biggest triumphs are following tried and true recipes and having them come out. It seems like it should be easy...yet my successes seem to be few and far between. Maybe we're all picky?
My cooking tragedies
I still remember one of my first meals making some kind of pot roast in the crock pot. We were newly married, living in Mexico and had some english friends coming over for dinner. I was stressed to say the least. And I cried when the dinner didn't come out as expected. It was edible but perfectionist me was disappointed.
