Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
WOW! Made it as stated, and it was perfect! It is definitely sweet but that is obvious from the ingredients. SOOO, don't make it as stated and then lower the rating because it's too sweet for you! Get a clue and use less sugar or choose something other than dessert to make! :)

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
AWESOME! I followed the recipe exactly except I only used 4 chicken breasts. Other reviewers were correct, once you shred the chicken it absorbs more of the sauce, so it isn't too "saucy". I put the leftovers in the fridge and it was even better the next day! (I didn't think it was possible!) I toasted some sourdough with garlic butter and slices of cheddar, then topped it with the meat...WOW! Thanks for a wonderful, easy recipe!

Vinegar Based BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
Absolutely wonderful! I used this as a sauce to put on the slow cooker bbq pork recipe on this site, and the two together are insanely good! My guests couldn't get enough. Thanks so much!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Fantastic! I've made this several times and it's always a hit! I find it funny that people change recipes on here and then rate it low based on their own nasty substitutions. So, when I made it as written it got 5 stars. I do sometimes top it with panko breadcrumbs and use shredded parmesan cheese (not the green can stuff) and it's great either way. Keep the "base" of this recipe as written and have fun!

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
All I can say is, "WOW"! I used a stick of softened butter & added all of the herbs to it the night before (another member suggested this and it was great!) then put it in the fridge to harden for the next morning. I also added herbs to olive oil and let them sit overnight. I used the pats of butter for in between the skin and meat and used the olive oil mixture for the skin. I cooked the 20-lb turkey in a roaster and it was fantastic! I couldn't believe how moist it was and neither could my family! Thanks so much for a great recipe!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This recipe is WONDERFUL! I don't like the "traditional" Green Bean Casserole so I thought I'd try this for Thanksgiving. It is so simple and has loads of flavor. Every guest raved about it! I used canned French-style green beans and followed the recipe exactly. You won't be disappointed!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
WOW! These were fantastic! Even my 19-month-old gobbled these up! The only ingredient I left out was the salt. I made one batch of marinade for the chicken and another batch to marinate vegetables...onions, portabello mushrooms and quartered new potatoes (about 2 lbs). After you quarter the potatoes put them in a microwave safe dish and add 1/2 cup water. Microwave on high for 13-15 minutes, just stir halfway through cooking time. Otherwise the potatoes would never be done on the grill at the same time as everything else on the skewer! After microwaving let them cool a little and then marinade. I marinaded everything in a couple of ziploc bags for about 2 hours. We will definitely make this again and again!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
Absolutely delicious! I seasoned the roast with Montreal steak seasoning before I seared it, and used beef broth instead of water. I also added a package of fresh mushrooms. I added all of my veggies at the very beginning even though some suggested to do it halfway through cooking time. They came out perfect! I like my veggies very soft when I'm eating them with roast. I used a 3-lb roast and let it cook on low for almost 9 hours. It was probably ready at 8 hours but we weren't home yet to turn off slow cooker! I will make this again and again!!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
This was a big hit! I used 4 chicken breasts, 2 cans of cheddar soup, 1 can of cream of chicken, 1/2 cup milk. I seasoned the chicken breasts with garlic and italian seasoning, then dumped the soup & milk mixture on top. I cooked on low all day (about 7 hours) and it was PERFECT! I served it over brown rice that I cooked with chicken broth instead of water, and even my 19-month-old loved it! She had seconds! I will use the leftover sauce and rice to make enchiladas tomorrow!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
So yummy! I used all suggestions made by jillybean and it was delicious! I accidentally put in the entire envelope of onion soup mix, but it didn't make it too salty at all. It took a long time for the reduced fat cream cheese to melt, so I think next time I will let it sit out at room temperature for a while to soften. Will make again and again! Even my 19-month-old loved it!
