This is one of the best verisons of this I have ever tried. Love the taste the celery seed adds. The only thing I canged was I used half Apple Cider Vinegar and half white vinegar - with a splash of red wine vinegar. I tripled the recipe. Made a huge mess of it for a block party. It was a huge hit. Next time I will make it for my dad using Splenda.

Pumpkin Chili

This was great just a bit sweet and not spicy. I fixed just as directed. However, I next time I will make some changes. I will leave out the sugar and add more chili powder. It was just not spicy enough for me. Even my husband who does not like spicy thought it was too sweet. It was a hardy meal and will for sure cook it again.

Mexican-Style Spaghetti and Meatballs

I used beef not turkey. Left out the hot peppers and put in a can of Ro-tel instead of tomatoes. It was wonderful!

Tex-Mex Patty Melts

The patties would not stay together and ended up being more like sloppy joes than patty melts. The beer over powered most of the other flavors. Over all I think this recipe is a complete bust. I gave it 2 stars since I followed the recipe to the T and they did not turn out like they said it would.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

I let the cookie dough sit in freezer for about 3 hours and then baked everything using a German Choc. cake mix. It was great. For a "frosting" all I had was a package of Dream Whip so I used that. Everyone who tasted them said the were great.

Roast Beef Burritos

Was looking for something different for lunches. This was great. I did not have a can of green chilies so I used a can of Rotel in place of the chilies and last tomatoe. It was a little juicer but it was great.

Avocado Egg Salad

I added Texas 1015's instead of the red onions. We loved it. When storing for left overs place plastic wrap driectly on top and press down lightly. This will help with the discoloration of the salad.

Banana Nut Bread Baked in a Jar

I have made a recipe like this for years to rave reviews. I lost my recipe and this one is just as great. When I sprayed the jars with non-stick spray I also sprinkled sugar in the jar. The hardest part of this was getting the hot jars out of the oven and putting the lids on without burning myself. I have heard that this can last up to a year unopened and in a cool dark place - I would like to try that but they never make it past a month. Even after a couple weeks they are still moist and delicous.

Sand Tarts

This was so quick and easy. I have found a new cookie recipe when I need something for surprise guest. They are not dry like I thought they would be. Most of the cookies were gone before I got the second batch out of the oven. I bet adding a 1 tsp of cinnamon to the recipe or the the Splenda that you roll them in would be really good.

Easy Sausage Strata

I worked for a coop that had monthly breakfast meeting for the board. The office girls took turns cooking and each time it was my turn (and sometimes when it was not) they requested this recipe. I have added bell peppers, hot sauce, sliced hot peppers, mushrooms, and used wheat bread instead of white. Just depending on what I had on hand. They loved it. I no longer work there but last month the president of the board called me and asked me if I would make it for this month's meeting - even offered to pay me!!!

Strawberry Torte
