Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2013
OMG!! I made this recipe today trying to re-create a pecan bar cookie that I bought at a Bakery, this is the one!! I read the reviews and changed the servings to 24 and baked in a 9X13 pan. I did this not because I don't have a jelly roll pan, but because I knew I would eat all of it myself(kind of kidding!)that and using real butter are the only changes that I made. Make this today, it is a very easy, Superstar recipe!

Sweet Cornbread Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
I made this yesterday to go with chili... OMG, this is the best cornbread I have ever eaten, let alone made! I can't believe that I actually made something so delish! I followed the recipe exactly but halved it and put it in a 7X11 Pyrex brownie pan and baked it for 30 minutes. Absolutely perfect!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
I made these yesterday for a football party. I needed something quick so I just threw these together. I followed others advice and only used 1 stick plus 2 Tbs butter. I used a 13X9 and an 8X8 square pan because I wanted them to cover a platter and I didn't want them too thick,I also sprayed the pan with Pam. I also found out(too late) that I only had not quite a cup of confectioners sugar, so I added about a half of a can of Duncan Hines white frosting. I put these in the freezer for about 45 minutes to firm up before I left and they were perfect. They were gone in minutes and everyone raved about these, they almost couldn't believe that I made them and it only took me a few minutes! I used Jif creamy peanut butter, real butter and good quality milk chocolate chips, maybe the quality of ingredients that some people used made them turn out less than perfect. The texture and taste of these was amazing...Thanks so much for this recipe!

Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2012
I just made these, they are phenominal! I didn't have minced onion or garlic salt, so I just used jarred garlic and scampi seasoning. These are so quick to make it's ridiculous, and they taste so great!

Banana Cream Supreme

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
This was featured back in the day as a Pampered Chef recipe, you made it in a springform pan. My whole family has always loved this recipe and I follow it exactly, except for maybe thinning the filling down a little bit with cream or milk. I also want to add that the homemade crust with real butter is on here for a reason, it makes it a Superstar dessert. I have made this both with real whipped cream and with Cool Whip or other whipped toppings, it tastes the same either way so don't be a Cool Whip snob!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
I made this in about 20 minutes tops! I didn't have any ham, celery or onions so I sauteed a little bit of carrot in a tbs of butter and celery salt, added a tiny little bit of garlic and then followed the recipe after that. I also added some cream in with the milk. I don't usually like when people review recipes if they don't follow them exactly, but I used what I had in the house. I will follow the recipe next time and I know it will be even better. Try this recipe, you won't be sorry!!

Even with cutting down the size of the recipe it came out awesome! I wish I had made the whole recipe. One note... when they first begin to brown a little take them out!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
I was looking for a "breakfast cookie" this morning before Baseball practice and a full day of activities, so I whipped these up very quickly and they came out beautifully! I halved the recipe, only used butter and added a few chocolate chips and they are fabulous, I wish I had made the whole recipe now!!

T Bird's Beef Jerky

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I followed the recipe and marinaded London Broil for approximately 24 hours and then followed the directions. Someone mentioned metal skewers and hanging them in the oven. It worked beautifully! I took the Jerky out after 3.5 hours and it was perfect, the only problem is I only used about 2 1/2 pounds of meat and it is not enough!

Chocolate Cream Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
I made this cake for a dinner party. I baked the cake in 2 9inch round pans and split the layers and filled them with the filling. I then frosted the cake with whipped ganache. In making the filling I used whipping cream instead of the milk and I only used probably about 1/4 cup of it. The cake was a serious showstopper, however it really didn't have much flavor. The fliing was bland and tasteless, so I think next time I am going to add more vanilla or maybe play with the idea of poking little holes in the cake and soaking in some Bailey's/ sugar mixture (heat through to evaporate the alcohol!) I will definitely try again with modifications!

Grilled Whole Turkey

Help! I want to try this but I can't seem to find any information about how much charcoal to use and how often I would need to add more. I have a Weber Grill, and I already bought a turkey, I think it's about 13 lbs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Irresistible Jif® Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I've made these with Crisco and with Butter, they are more moist and thick with the Crisco, but just as delicious with butter. I also tried out store brand (Kroger)peanut butter, added (Kroger)peanut butter chips and placed a Hershey Kiss on top right after bringing them out of the oven. I wanted to see if they could be made with lower cost ingredients and it seems you just can't mess these up, they are delicious any way you make them!!

Thai Chicken with Basil Stir Fry

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
I made this the other night and it was very good. I added a little bit of brown sugar as someone else suggested and omitted the fish sauce. I had never used fresh ginger but I grated it finely and it worked out really well. I'm very glad I tried this recipe it makes me think I can make more exotic recipes!!
