Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
This recipe turned out very well! I made some of the changes recommended by other reviewers: I decreased the sugar to about 3/4 cup and added some cinnamon & vanilla. However, I didn't think it was quite sweet enough this way, so next time I will probably use the amount of sugar as written. Thanks for the recipe!

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
This recipe is great! I happen to love cake so I didn't mind that they were more like cake than cookie bars ;). My husband is out of town, & I can't wait until he comes home tomorrow night so he can try them (if I don't eat the whole pan before then haha). I used the Cream Cheese I frosting from this site & it turned out great! Thanks for the recipe!

Cream Cheese Frosting I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
Delicious frosting! And so easy to make. I also used the whole 8 oz. of cream cheese & cut down on the sugar (I love a lot of cream cheese flavor). It turned out creamy & wonderful! I had some left over after frosting my banana bars, so I'll have to keep myself from eating the rest of it by itself! :)

Very good recipe, and very easy to make. I followed the suggestions of others & added some spices (garlic powder & Italian seasoning).

Nana's Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
This was my first attempt at making BBQ sauce, & I was very pleased with the results! I had to make a few substitutions just b/c there were some ingredients I didn't have on hand. I used cider vinegar, garlic powder (instead of celery salt), lime juice instead of lemon, & I omitted the onion (can't stand them!) It was so easy & tastes better than most of the bottled stuff...I will definitely use this recipe again!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
This apple crisp was delicious! I made it for the birthday party I threw for my husband yesterday because it's one of his favorites. I was nervous because I had never made it before & I had to do it in a hurry, but it turned out perfectly! Everyone raved about it & couldn't get enough. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
These cheesecakes were great, & perfect for portion control as others have mentioned. I found them a little too lemony for my taste, so I would probably leave that out next time.

No Bake Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
I love cheesecake, but have never had much success (or patience) with making them in the past. This recipe satisfied my cheesecake craving without all the trouble of making a regular cheesecake. Very good!

Banana Oatmeal Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
I buy a bunch of bananas every week at the grocery store, & since it's just my husband & I, I seem to end up making banana bread or banana cake every weekend to use up the uneaten ripe bananas :). So I was looking for a different way to bake with bananas. I love these cookies! I love how soft & chewy they are, and I don't mind the cake-like texture. I can't wait for my husband to get home so he can try them...I know he'll love them too!

Sarah's Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
Thank you so much for this recipe! It is so easy & tastes really great. I love the taste of salsa but usually face a real dilemma: I hate onions, & it's hard to eat around them with salsa. Now I have a solution- I can make my own & leave out the onions! :) My whole family loved it. I will definitely not be buying jarred salsa anymore!

Zucchini Pineapple Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
This was my first time making Zucchini bread (or tasting it, for that matter!) It was great! I actually made it into muffins because I only have 1 loaf pan & muffins bake more quickly :). I kind of wish that the pineapple flavor was more noticeable, because I love pineapple. However, this bread was still delicious!

Creamy Veggie Fondue

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
This fondue turned out great! My husband's grandmother gave us a fondue pot as a wedding gift, so we had her over for dinner to try it out for the first time. This recipe was a hit with all 3 of us. The only changes I made were to use a little less cayenne pepper (I wasn't sure if our guest likes spicy things) & added a little more milk to thin it out. Thanks so much...we'll definitely use this recipe again & again! :)

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
This cake was really good. I don't even like chocolate all that much, & I thought it was great! :) I made it for my sister's birthday, & I used a chocolate cream cheese frosting, & everyone was very impressed! Thanks for a great, easy recipe!

I lost my old recipe for these cookies & I wanted to make them so I decided to try this recipe. It tastes just the same as the ones I used to make (as far as I can tell haha), & everyone loves them! Thanks for a great recipe!

Maple Dill Carrots

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
These carrots were delicious! I had my parents over for dinner the other night, & I wanted to try a new side dish. I love carrots, but for some reason I never think to make them. But now that I have this recipe, I'll make them regularly! My parents, my husband, my brother & I all loved them. Thanks for the recipe!

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
Yum! This recipe is great. I made a few small changes...dipped in milk instead of butter, left out the thyme (didn't have any), added a little garlic powder, & used a little less Parmesan cheese. I dipped them in homemade BBQ sauce & they were delicious! My husband didn't even dip his in anything & he loved them :). I definitely recommend the trick of cooking them on a wire rack, because I did mine like that & they were perfectly crispy!
