Fudgy Buttons

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2006
We've been making these little fudgy pieces of heaven for years. One batch is NEVER enough, so I usually double (or triple) the recipe! I better go make a couple of batches right now!

This is SO good! Doubled the recipe both times I made it. I used fresh parsley instead of dried.

Superb! Left it overnight for the flavors to blend.

Thanksgiving Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This recipe seemed to make a better cheese "spread" than a "ball" but I wasn't put out by that at all. It was delicious. Although I hate when people review a recipe and then tell everyone all the substitutions they made, I did use feta (because I had it)instead of bleu cheese. The results were great. I will be making this one again before Christmas!

Spinach Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This is an incredible cheese ball! You've heard the old tired line "my husband hates...(in this case spinach)...but loves this recipe"--well, my husband (and I) LOVE this recipe. What a GREAT idea to take a wonderful dip and make into a cheese ball, Sarah! Thanks for sharing!

Apple Dumplings I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
Delicious! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT substitute margarine for the butter called for in the sauce. My canned bisquits made 10 biscuits, so I made 10 dumplings.

Almond Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2005
Excellent recipe for rhubarb. Moist and yummy! I didn't put the almonds into the cake, just on top.

Favorite Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: May 23, 2005
This cocoa was just OK until I added a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream. I would give it 5 stars if Bailey's was in the original recipe!

Aunt Phyllis' Magnificent Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2004
This is a cheeseball I like to make and have in the fridge for holiday visitors. So easy to put on a tray and serve with crackers and a glass of wine! Makes a great gift, too.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2004
This is a good cookie. When they are on my holiday cookie list, I like to roll them in colored sugar instead of cinnamon and sugar before baking. They are a festive addition to holiday cookie trays.

Chocolate Snowballs

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2004
This is a good little cookie. True, it's not as sweet as others on a cookie tray, but that's what we like about it!

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

If I could give this recipe more than 5 stars, I would. This sauce, on top of vanilla ice cream and sliced banana, sent me into hot fudge heaven!

I was concerned when I saw how sticky the cookie dough was, but as soon as I tasted one I knew this cookie was worthy of 5 stars! I see many DOUBLE batches of these wonderful cookies in my future!

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2002
This peanut butter fudge recipe is so luscious it is beyond any description. Seven minutes at a rolling boil (a boil that cannot be stirred down) made the perfect creamy texture. If you have a candy thermometer, boil to 234 degrees.

Delicious!! This is a good, quick and hearty meal made in just one pan. Left overs (if you have any) can be used the next morning in an omelet. We liked that, too :)
