Sugar Coated Pecans

Amazing! Had just under a pound of nuts so had a little extra coating, which was the best part. Taste great warm out of the oven.

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
Pretty good and easy to make. The flour and sesame coating doesn't stick very well to the chicken, and I may use less of the Chinese five spice next time. It was a little overpowering.

Green Onion Dip II

Very good and very easy. I used garlic salt instead of regular salt for extra flavor.

Dutch Apple Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This is a nice sweet bread. It is tender in the middle with a nice crunchy top with the streusel. The only change I made was to mix in a half cup of white chocolate chips with the apple and walnuts. Yum!

Almond-Dusted Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Breasts Recipe @CDKitchen

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This was a tasty way to use some of the strawberry basalmic we found in Galena. I omitted the nut coating since I didn't have any nuts, and it was still excellent.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This is very good. I can see why it got so many 5-star reviews. I didn't think it was too sweet, but then I love sweet dishes. It was the perfect way to use up some cabbage from the garden. The only change I made was to use green onion instead of regular onion.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
Very moist and fluffy pumpkin cake with the best creamy cream cheese frosting. I added a little water to the frosting to make it easier to spread on the cake. I would definitely make again.

Ladyfingers

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
These were so good and so easy to make. I scaled the recipe down to make 12 cookies, which I used to line a tiramisu cheesecake. The cookies had a nice crisp and golden crust and were tender inside. I will definitely be making these again.

Zucchini Provencal

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
This is incredible! Served with homemade linguine and a ton of fresh herbs. Also had to cook the zucchini covered for a little longer than recommended to fully soften. It was delicious though. I will definitely be making this again!

Blueberry-Orange Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
These are incredible. The orange flavor makes them stand apart from your typical blueberry muffin, and the nut and cinnamon topping makes it even better. I will definitely be making these again.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
I have been looking for a good homemade salad dressing recipe forever. When I saw this one had so many rave reviews, I decided to give this one a try. I am so glad I did. It is exactly the recipe I've been looking for. I used Miracle Whip instead of mayonnaise, but other than that, I made it exactly as directed. It is the perfect balance of sweet creaminess and tangy zip!

Honey Fruit Salad

Love this recipe and make it with different kinds of fruit variations. This last time I left out the bananas and raspberries and added fresh pineapple instead.

Stir-Fry Pork with Ginger

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
This was so easy and so good. Was looking for a quick weeknight dinner to use up some leftover pork tenderloin, and this hit the spot. I also added in some fresh chopped garlic with the ginger, and substituted a regular white wine for the rice wine because that is what I had.

Hong Kong Style Egg Tarts

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
Very good. The custard is creamy and the crust is a lot like a cookie. The only thing I would do differently next time would be to cover the edges of the crust in tinfoil the last few minutes of baking to prevent over browning.

Lemon Cream Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
These were incredible! I added lemon extract instead of vanilla to give it even more lemon flavor. I also made my own cream cheese frosting instead of the butter frosting included with the recipe. To decorate, I piped the icing on with a star tip to make it look like flower petals. Then I added yellow sprinkles in the middle to make it look like the center of a flower. Great treat to celebrate spring!

Potato Bread III

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
I made this as dinner rolls instead of a bread, and they were fabulous. They had a nice crisp crust on the outside and a soft, airy center. The recipe makes enough for about three dozen batches if you make small rolls. I added a little garlic salt for more flavor. Next time I might use a little more potato.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
This is by far the best roasted chicken I've made. For the first time, I was able to roast a chicken without setting off the smoke detector. I also added fresh garlic cloves under the skin, sliced onions in the cavity, and rubbed rosemary on the outside. Yum!
