Easy Toffee

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Made them for my hubby's work and he said they went nuts for them. Don't skip the freezing part to harden them. I did have a hard time breaking them to look cool but hey, it's toffee. Very cool recipe! Thanks -- p.s. don't have a candy themometer, but followed another suggestion to bring it to a boil and then boil it 2 minutes. Worked great.

Pecan Pie

Perfect pie. I made one off the Karo syrup label and it was so bad I threw it out and came to this recipe. I made it with walnuts instead. Everyone loved it. GREAT RECIPE! Oh I followed another reviewer's tip and used 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup brown sugar, also added more nuts -- 2 cups. YUM!

Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
I would rate this perfect EXCEPT it's not sweet enough. It's tart. Not sure if it was the applies, I used a mixture of granny smith (tart) and pink ladies (sweet). I would probably double the sugar. I don't have a big sweet tooth, but my family said the same thing..... great pie though.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
I made this out at the lake for a fish fry pot luck. I couldn't keep my extremely picky son (12 years old) out of it. He asked me, "How can anything taste that good?" This simple recipe DEFINITELY deserves 5 stars. P.S. made it without the poppy seeds since I didn't have any, and used plain old mayo, and no diced onions so I put some minced dried onions we had in the cupboard -- definitely will do it the same way again!
