Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2014
I have used this recipe for a few years now and it is amazing! I add 4-6 tbsp of vital wheat gluten, and use all whole wheat flour. I usually grind my own flour from hard white wheat berries that I have on hand. It works great as sandwich bread and is a delicious treat with homemade jam!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
The BEST banana bread recipe ever. I did use the variations from naples34102 which are very minor. I only softened the butter, and then added a teaspoon each of baking soda and baking powder. I also mixed together the bananas and sour cream before folding them into the batter. I prefer to bake my banana bread in mini loaf pans and they took about 30 minutes to cook. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Such an easy and delicious recipe. As I did not have beer on hand, I used chicken broth. My entire family loved it!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
These are incredible. I placed the dough on parchment paper to bake at 350 for 10 minutes. After taking them out of the oven I let them sit on the pan for two minutes before placing them on a cooling rack. I followed the recommended advice and placed my pans under cold water to cool them down before placing more cookies on them. So yummy and not flat!

This is delicious! Next time I will only add 1/2 cup of butter in an attempt to make it not so fattening!

These are the best ribs and so easy to make. I use Sweet Baby Ray's and add water. Finishing them on the grill makes them superb!

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
This is super healthy and delicious. My son and I are still eating and loving it! I followed the suggestion of other reviewers and used 2 1/2 cups of chicken broth instead of vegetable broth.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
I love this recipe, but I used the crumb topping from another reviewer that had way less butter and I found it tastier than the original crumb topping. My only suggestion is to not overfill your muffin tins. Mine came over the top and I had crumb mixture on fire in the bottom of my oven. A little amusing, but tough to clean up!

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
My family LOVED this sandwich. The only change I would make for our taste is to eliminate one green pepper, one onion and the oregano. We love provolone and only use it with our Philly sandwiches. The garlic mayo is delicious! Thank you for sharing!

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
I have never tried making homemade buns before, and this recipe was perfect! Per another reviewer I put about 2 tbsp of dried minced onion into the dough as I was using the buns for BBQ pork. I don't know if I will ever buy buns from the supermarket again!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This is a great basic and easy recipe. Much better than anything from a box. I admit that if I have more time I prefer to make the buttermilk pancakes from this site and freeze the leftovers for later!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
My family loves this and I love that it is so easy to put together. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because as written two cans of biscuits is way too much. One can is plenty!

Beef Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
This is a good basic recipe, but could use some improvements to add more flavor. I would use shredded beef (leftover pot roast is perfect to use for this) and add salsa to it before putting it in the tortillas.
