Pork with Mushroom Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
Bravo, what an incredible dinner. So rich and creamy, full of flavor. I browned my (thick) boneless chops and added fresh baby bella mushrooms with onions. My chops were fully cooked in 20 minutes. Tender, moist and juicy.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
I didn't realize how easy it would be to prepare a taco seasoning. The flavor of this seasoning is more fresh and vibrant than the packet seasoning you purchase in the grocery store. I followed the recipe as written and, I will definitely use over and over again. Having this recipe is a plus as you can tweek according to your likeness. Thanks for an amazing recipe Bill!

Marshmallow Crispy Lemon Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
I love the concept of this dessert however, I felt the filling was not the appropriate consistency for the crust. Of couse, after my family was finished there were only crumbs remaining. In all fairness, I followed the recipe as written. Unfortunately, I will not prepare this again. I would use the filling part of this recipe for a lemon pie using regular pie crust or I would prepare the marshmallow crispy crust with a thicker more dense filling.

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
I must admit that I am not an egg fan however, I found this egg salad to be quite tasty. My husband had a sandwich for lunch and he loved it. My two year old likes it as a dip with Sun Chips. As always, I prepared the recipe as written. Next time, I'll add a little cayenne pepper.

Zucchini with Pecans

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
What a great, healthy alternative to fried zucchini. My entire family loved this zucchini dish. If you wish to be more health conscious eliminate the olive/vegetable oil and lightly coat the zucchini with a 0 calorie butter flavored cooking spray. For a more fresh, flavorful appeal saute with fresh minced garlic or ginger. Lastly, toast any raw nut that you love almonds, pecans or cashews they all taste great coupled with the zucchini.

5 Stars according to my pug, Riley and my neighbors Jack Russell, Leon! Riley loved them so much he swallowed them whole. I crushed some of the bacon and placed it in the batter. The dogs found them irresistible!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I loved this hearty soup recipe. AMAZING! I followed the recipe ingredients as written however, I boiled my potatoes rather than baking them. The 1/2 teaspoon of tabasco was the perfect amount to spice up this yummy soup. A must try recipe. Thanks Kristi!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
This is a great tasting side dish that my family fought over. I followed the recipe as written and I wouldn't change a thing. The next time I prepare this dish I will add a clove of garlic (I love, love, love garlic).

GREAT CARROTS! I cut four chunks of ginger root and boiled it with the carrots. Lastly, I added grated ginger root instead of ground ginger. My entire family enjoyed these carrots.

Jesse's Ginger Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
This is a great tasting salad dressing. I must agree with the majority of the reviewers to replace the sugar with honey. I also used freshly minced ginger which gave it a spicy kick, much like the dressing served at Japanese Steak Houses.

Slow Cooker BBQ Flat Iron Steak Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Great, tasty sandwich with lots of flavor. I recommend making the following adjustments to the recipe: season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Instead of using dried onion, I chopped a medium onion, minced four cloves of garlic and added 1/4 cup of molasses to 3 pounds of flat iron steak, allowing it to cook for six hours. The end result is a sweet, tangy bbq sauce with fork tender steak. Wonderful!

Easy Pavlova

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
This is a wonderful light & airy dessert. Ideal after eating a heavier meal. The fresh fruit is the perfect complement for such a sweet treat. I remember tasting a dessert similiar to this in Paris, France called the Chantilly. Later, my cuban mother-in-law taught me how to make Merenguitos which are bite size meringue cookies. I now can add Pavlova to my list. If you are a meringue lover this is a must try recipe.

PBM Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
I forgot about this sandwich recipe. I am a peanut butter lover and it has taken me 42 years to rediscover this wonderful concoction and try it. I placed my sandwich in the toaster oven long enough for the two ingredients to melt together. Heaven between two slices of bread.

These were easy and scrumptious. I made the following changes according to other recommendations: I used 1/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of milk, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, and 1 tsp. of garlic powder to the dough. I added 1/8 tsp. dried parsley, 1/8 tsp. onion powder, and 1/8 tsp. garlic powder to the melted butter. Delicious!

Grilled Lamb with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
This is a 10 star recipe. I made baby back pork ribs using this wonderful rub. I placed 1/2 slabs in aluminum foil and applied the rub to both sides, cooked for 2 1/2 hours on 300 degrees. Removed them from foil, lightly sprinkled with rub and placed on the grill for 3 to 4 minutes each side. YUMMY! Don't under estimate the flavor, after tasting no one wanted bbq sauce.
