Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Juice and delicious! I was craving hamburgers and this recipe met all my taste bud expectations. I couldn't get the bacon to stay wrapped around the patty the way it was suppose to be done, so I ended up wrapping two pieces around the entire patty the other way. It worked out swell.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
Followed recipe exactly. Was the best peach cobbler ever. Perfect for our 4th of July festivities! - Made this again for a blackberry cobbler. Left out all cinnamon and nutmeg flavors, but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. SO good!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
Absolutely delicious. I soaked the milk and cornmeal for over an hour in the fridge before I mixed the other ingredients together. I also spread honey over the top of the bread immediately out of the oven. This is definitely a "sweet" cornbread, so if you don't like sweet then don't try this recipe.

Perfect for our Italian dishes. It was fantastic having these instead of buying the big loaf at the store.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I tried a dozen banana bread recipes this summer. This was the last one I tried and it was absolutely the best! My husband can't get enough of it. We make it 2-3 times a month now. Thank you!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Fantastic! I made this last night and received rave reviews. The sauce is extraordinary; I am so glad I doubled the recipe! I also coated the chicken with egg and then flour (I am from the south and that is just how we fry things)! I served with mashed potatoes and used the sauce as a gravy. YUMMY! Will definitely be making this again, and again, and again!

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I used 2 cups of shredded apples, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 c sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar, and I doubled the crumbly topping. Muffins were delicious and a hit with everyone in my family, including those who do not like apples!

I added a some shredded potato to the eggs, but left as is. It took 45 minutes to cook, but my husband said it was the best breakfast dish I have ever made. Yummy and simple.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I have made this recipe twice in the last week, it is that good. All I changed was to add chocolate chips to it. Yummy! I didn't have any problems with dryness or over baking. Family and Friends love them.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
I followed the suggestions (4 egg yolk, 2 cans sweet cond. milk, 3/4 c lime juice and 1/4 lemon) and the pie was wonderful. I chilled it for a few hours and then added the whipping cream to the top with some lime zest. Beautiful and delicious. Not a crumb was left at our neighborhood bbq.

Potato (Velveeta®) Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I love making this recipe! I serve with garlic cheese bread. For some reason the recipe was not printed correctly... I boil the water and seasonings, then add the potatoes and allow to boil a few minutes before I add the processed cheese. Otherwise the cheese tends to burn and stick to the bottom of the pan. Cook on low once the cheese is added. I also wanted to note that the recipe says to use one block of cheese... If you purchase the regular sized block of Velveeta, then you actually only use 1/2 the block (1 lb) of cheese. They do have smaller 1 lb blocks of cheese you can buy as well.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Yummy! Satisfied my french fry craving and was much healthier than deep fat frying. I cut the potatoes into small french fry style and it took less time to bake, which was great with two starving children. :) I am going to try the recipe with sweet potatoes next time to try and make it even healthier!

Baked Potato Soup

Everyone loved this soup. I doubled the potatoes called for and was glad that I did. I also made a double batch (feeds about 8 hungry adults). Partner this soup with the cheddar bay biscuits and you will have a great meal!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
This is my go to cake. I have made it several dozen times. My friends request it for their birthday parties, etc. I usually freeze it before I put frosting on it. It is super moist and difficult to frost if it is at room temperature. Seriously. Best chocolate cake ever!
