Jalapeno Popper Wontons

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
Thanks for this awesome recipe! This has become the “craving” of our family. Since we do like spicy, we use the jalapeƱos just like the recipe calls for. The only thing we do differently is brush the outsides of the wontons with olive oil & bake at 400 degrees until they are brown. Delicious!

Blue Cheese Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
Thank you for posting this awesome recipe. I needed a recipe for potato salad that didn’t call for Mayonnaise since I have a teen that gags at the thought of Mayo! I have made the recipe “as is” & it is great. Nothing needs to be changed. However, since we are all Bleu Cheese lovers, I added a little extra the second time I made it. I also added finely chopped celery and I used a 2 lb bag of chopped hash browns to make the dish extra fast & easy. My family loved it!

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
This is indeed a family favorite at our house. I have made it several times. The first time I omitted the water & butter. Big mistake!! It was good but my beans were dark (okay burned). Since then, we made the recipe as directed & it turned out perfect. We always use the "hot" sausage & add a little garlic. FABULOUS!

Jeremy's Philly Steak and Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
Being from the ATL, I guess I'm not sensitive to Philly's claim on the steak sandwich. So, with that being said... Maybe Jeremy needs to drop the "Philly" part. But the "Jeremy's Steak and Cheese" sandwich was pretty darn good. My family loved it. We did add the following spices (we like things intense at our house)... additional black pepper, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, dried basil. Thanks Jeremy for your Steak & Chesse sandwich recipe.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This is a great Marsala recipe. I have used this recipe twice now. Both times I substituted Veal for the Chicken & it turned out great. Once I used the Marsala Cooking Wine (you can't buy real wine on Sundays in Georgia) & it turned out just fine but I prefer to use real Marsala wine because the flavor is much richer. Like others, I doubled the sauce to have enough for our pasta. This is now my standard Marsala recipe. Thanks for submitting it.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
I drank the entire pitcher & now I don't remember if it was good or not. Maybe I should try it again? Just kidding. It was excellent. I wish I had omitted the sugar like others suggested though. The first glass was a little too sweet for my liking - after the first glass though, I didn't notice it as much.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
This is a very easy recipe & tastes great! We used pork butt & cooked in the slow cooker for 10 hours (with 2 cans of beef broth - I'm always afraid of things being dry), shredded it immediately, added 1 bottle of barbecue sauce and stuck it in the oven at 170 degrees so my very active family could eat in shifts. We all loved it & this will be the only way I make BBQ pork from now on. Thanks for a great recipe.

Carrot Cake III

My husband's favorite recipe!!! It's easy enough for my un-experienced teen daughter to cook. But tasted like a very experienced baker made it. Great recipe.

Becca's Taco Soup

This is very much a favorite recipe at our house - especially during the winter months. I do double the taco seasoning & buy the spicy flavor too. The spicier the better at our house.
