I am a newly married, 25 year old woman who has a passion for food and healthy eating. 5 years ago I weighed 285 pounds. By eating a low-carb diet I lost 125 pounds in 3 years and now have kept it off for 2 years! As I am now newly married, I am searching for new ways to cook healthy and tasty meals!
My favorite things to cook
Although I eat very little sugar I enjoy baking … cookies take the cake! Mostly, I enjoy baking wonderful desserts for my husband, friends, and family. I also like putting together a complete meal and preparing fresh meats and vegetables that truly compliment each other. During the summer month I am an avid BBQer!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a wonderful family with many holiday food traditions. I am now incorporating them into my new family. I am American and my husband is German so we combine the best of both of our heritages! It has been both fun and challenging to learn how to make brotchen and kasekuchen here in the states!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I make a special meal for my husband and he raves about it! He makes me feel as though I could go head to head with Emeril and Rachael. What a guy! :o)
