About this Cook
I currently live in Memphis with my fiance and our 10month old daughter. I used to only be able to cook desserts but I am learning to cook whole meals now that I have a family. It's important to me to be able to put good wholesome, and tasty, food on the table for my family, especially since my daughter is starting to eat grown up food. It makes me feel good when they actually LIKE what I make.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook everything! I'm really good with pasta dishes but want to learn new things. I love Indian and Thai food and would love to learn how to make authentic dishes. I'd also like to learn how to good a perfect MR steak!
My cooking triumphs
Valentine's dinner 2008, I made Lobster and sauteed shrimp in a wonderful ginger sauce, along with japanese style veggies-everything was from scratch. My fiance said it was one of the very best meals he ever had, and I could tell he was telling me the truth!
My cooking tragedies
I used to burn everything that didn't come out of a box. Even grilled cheese sandwiches and bacon were disasters. Now I've learned food doesn't have to start "browning" within the first minute it hits the frying pan, lol.

Broccoli Casserole II
This was a good recipe, I would make it again however it took alot of my time preparing it. Probably because it was my first time, I think I could make it quicker my second time. I added chicken pieces to it to make it more of a meal. I used real butter, part of a block of Velveeta, shredded cheddar cheese, and added some celery salt(since I did not have celery) and lots of black pepper. The consistency was perfect, not too dry or mushy like alot of casseroles come out. I mixed everything up in a pot on the stove before I poured it in the pan that I baked in. I'd recommend doing that so you can taste it and add whatever seasoning you want before baking(it is a little bland if you don't do this).
