Fudgy Brownies I

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2008
These. Right here. I've been trying to find a fudgy brownie recipe and this is the one! I baked them only 30 minutes and the texture was wonderfully chewy and dense. It must be the boiling water that makes the batter all thick and puddingy. I would increase salt to 1/2 t. I added a few chocolate chips and some pecans. Can't stop eating them!

I used 1 cup of butter instead of shortening. Worked great! I loved this pie crust.

Cheesy richness...my husband loved it! I didn't add the croutons and it was still great.

Poppy Seed Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
Delightful little fruit salad! The limeade gave it a nice citrus twang. The poppy seeds may not add much flavor, but they do give it a gourmet look and a little crunchiness. I neglected to toast the almonds, but it was still good!

Tasty and easy! I like to serve them with dolmades (stuffed grape leaves.) Very nice side dish.

Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
Good soup that's good for you! I used 6 beef bouillon cubes and 6 cups of water instead of the beef broth. I also like to add about 3/4 c. dried lentils. For a dash of extra spice, use diced tomatoes with roasted garlic and onion instead of plain diced tomatoes. I didn't need to add salt. My husband loves this soup!

Chewiest Brownies

Chewy and chocolatey! You don't have to line the pan with parchment paper. Cooking spray on the pan worked fine for me.
