Mashed Potato, Rutabaga, And Parsnip Casserole With Caramelized Onions
My grocery store was almost out of parsnips so I also added in a white sweet potato. My only other change was that I accidentally put in too much butter...oh darn! This was a huge hit at Thanksgiving! We're adding into into our meal every year and I'll probably make it again soon since I didn't have enough leftovers to satisfy! You must make sure everything is very tender..the potatoes will soften first so be patient. I think I'll broil it right at the end next time to get the top a little more crispy too.

Holiday Cranberry Sauce
I used half water and half OJ, and then half white sugar and half brown sugar, otherwise followed the instructions. This was the best cranberry sauce I've ever had. And the scent is divine with the addition of the whole spices. This will be a tradition for me.

Apple Raisin French Toast Strata
i added more raisins and apples to it. i also spread the cream cheese on the bread first. it had a very good taste. all my boys loved it. i did wish i had cooked it a little longer though, as it was a little mushy. stayed good for a few days as leftovers and good in the microwave.
