My Own Mickmack

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
This was very good. I made it in a 9x9 pan, and used ground Italian sausage, since I had it on hand. It came out very spicy, next time I'll reduce the cayenne pepper by half

Banana Split Bars

Came out alright. The crust didn't hold together... More butter needs to be used. I added more bananas than called for.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Came out pretty tasty, but the chocolate fell off most of the strawberries.

Chess Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
This was the first pie I have ever made- EVER- and even my picky eater of a husband loved it! It's a custardy pie, very rich. It goes great with a big cup of tea or milk. It's very simple to make

Grandma's Easy Shells

A little bit different taste. Made it with cheddar instead of American. The picky husband devoured it, which was a plus!

Cherry Cream Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
This is very very sweet. My refrigerator didn't quite make it set, so the cherries sank right to the bottom. Next time I think I'll freeze it overnight instead of refrigerating it overnight. Also, it got a little bit lumpy. Not sure if it's just my refrigerator, but I wasn't thrilled.

Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I used 85% lean beef, and this dish came out really greasy. Next time I'll be sure to use a lot leaner beef. I also halved the recipe, but instead of using only half of each can of soup, I used the whole can of cream of celery and half the can of cream of mushroom. I mixed it into the beef, instead or pouring it over the top. It came out very good, despite the grease!

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I didn't add the chicken, and I used sharp cheddar cheese. It was a little too sharp for this, next time I'll try mild. Very good otherwise!

Very tasty! I used beef strips intended for stir fry. There were no leftovers when my husband tried this!

Very tasty dish. Goes quite well with biscuits. Did get a bit dry and overcooked... next time will cook a bit less

Pizza Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
These were alright. I didn't like the croissant dough, so next time I might try it with refrigerated pizza dough instead

Aunt Mary's Banana-Chocolate Chip Bread

I replaced the shortening with butter, and it came out wonderfully! I did burn it a little bit, but it was still very yummy!

Egg Drop Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
I used vegetable boullion instead of chicken. It was so much better that way! With the vegetable stock, it was a very good, flavorful soup. Add rice to make it a meal

Russian Creme Fruit Topping

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This was exactly what I hoped it would be. I increased the sugar by one tablespoon to make it a little bit sweeter.
