About this Cook
I grew up in an Italian household of six people. Almost every day there was a different italian dish, and a twist on each. I cook to relieve stress, to entertain, and to continue the great tradition of my families pride & joy.
My favorite things to cook
I try to be extremely versatile in the kitchen... the things I enjoy cooking include but are NOT limited to: Italian, Mexican, any ASIAN cuisine...not limiting the different countries and flavors, Sushi, American, Soul Food, Southern, anything! My 2nd favorite passion is to grill... ribs, and steak are my absolute fav.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every sunday we'd eat in our dining room and experience different types of Italian cuisine. Whether it was a new seafood dish, antipasto, pasta, dessert, we'd all realize where we came from and how much these dishes really show where we're from.
My cooking triumphs
Just having the ability to re-create some of the dishes my mother & grandmother(s) have made....

Game Day Hamburgers
This recipe has a great foundation, but as some other "reviewers" had said, it needs work. I substituted the actual potatoe for a 1/2 can of white potatoes and cut those into slivers. I did not use the onion soup mix, as I think it would be a little too much and have way too much going on. I think you can use any kind of cheese for these, but I think swiss or mozzerella added a great touch! I added 1 egg, and breadcrumbs to the mixture as well. Finally, I seasoned it with pepper, salt and some hamburger seasoning to finish it off. I mixed it together, rather than "stuffing" it. It was great, and is ALWAYS a hit whenever I make them for whoever. People who didn't enjoy mushrooms LOVED them!

Boudreaux's Zydeco Stomp Gumbo
I am generally pretty versatile while I cook, so I had to give this a shot. My partner is from Louisiana and loves gumbo. I saw this and thought "she'll most definitely love it." It was a hit with her. One bite of it, and she instantly fell in love. The flavors all balance each other out and are most definitely a taste of the south. Most excellent!!!
