Gouda and Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
Very good recipe. I didn't put in any nutmeg (I forgot!) and I probably used too much broth (I don't use canned broth). I also didn't have enough milk so had to substitute about 1/4 of the milk for heavy cream. I wasn't sure if Gouda would taste good in this, but I had some I had to use. This recipe also didn't have reviews, so I couldn't see what others thought. But I can say that if you like Gouda, and you don't mess something up, you will like this recipe. It's fantastic! :)

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
Amazing dish. I made this for my family and they all went crazy over it. I was extremely pleased with it. I didn't change much of anything except that I added some cumin and extra cayenne. I usually change a lot in recipes because I often find them to be much too bland. We love extremely spicy food in my family, and although we didn't find this at all spicy, even though I tripled the cayenne, I can still say it was very, very nice. =)

Spicy Cabbage Kimchi

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
Very nice. Very easy. I probably close to doubled the spice because I love VERY spicy food. (I have been known to eat spoonfuls of chili sauce and I used to eat hot sauce sandwiches as a child). I cut the salt in half as was recommended by some other reviewers but found that it was still extremely salty. I have a feeling I have to fault myself, and say that I probably didn't rinse it well enough. =) The end result was very very tasty. Everyone in my family who tried it liked it, and I have some picky family members! My dad said it tasted like the outside of "spicy cabbage rolls". I also liked it better than I've liked the store bought or restaurant Kimchi I have had. I will certainly make it again.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
SO good and sooo easy to make I just made it now, because I bought some udon the other day and wanted to get rid of it. (and I am addicted to anything including peanut butter...) I didn't use honey, because I am vegan (used sugar instead...) Will definitely use this recipe again =).

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Great recipe - I followed it exactly except that I halved it. Some reviewers have said it would taste better with milk chocolate, but the peanut butter part is so sweet itself that I think it might be overkill! I cut into very small pieces, each basically the size of a little candy (I probably had close to 40 or 50 with half the recipe).

Candied Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
Sooo good and so easy. I just randomly made these to get rid of some carrots. I didn't really follow the measurements given, because I was feeling so very lazy, but they turned out very well. I added some cinnamon and a bit of vanilla as suggested by somebody else. If nothing else, these were the nicest smelling carrots I have ever encountered.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
Wow. This was so very nice! I had never made, or even tasted rice pudding before (frankly, I thought it sounded disgusting...), but I just randomly made some tonight out of some rice I had left over from dinner. I am such a novice in the kitchen and this was so easy and it turned out ridiculously well. I was so worried it wouldn't. My Dad really thought it was good too =)

Flavorful Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
This was very nice. I have always hated tomato soup, but I decided to try it today while I made myself, my dad, and my brother grilled cheese sandwiches. It turned out very well, and was obviously incredibly easy. I will definitely make it again.
