Homemade Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
Great recipe. I used a bit more olive oil because I live the taste of it. My husband and I visited Italy a few months ago and this is how my family who lives there makes their sauce. In America, we oversauce pasta...this is a light, tasty way of eating pasta with sauce. Use some great olive oil and this makes a fantastic, authentic Italian sauce. I will definitely use this recipe again. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I made this with a pork tenderloin. I thought it was okay. I tasted too much Catalina dressing and not enough cranberry. I made the recipe exactly as instructed. If I make it again, I think I may try to add some brown sugar to it and decrease the dressing. It just didn't hit the mark for me.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
I thought this turned out really well and wasn't difficult to make. I didn't like the idea of sour cream so believe it or not, I used low fat cream cheese (8 oz. block). And yes, make sure you bake it COVERED. I also used one jar of traditional spaghetti sauce (classico tomato and basil) and one jar of Vodka sauce - that gave it a rich flavoring that I really enjoyed. I prepared this Sunday meal for my husband and I and we had plenty of leftovers for the week. I will definitely make this again.

Creamy Orange Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Easy to make and refreshing to taste! I made this on a beach trip from which my family just returned. Everyone loved it because it wasn't too heavy - a perfect summer dessert. Even my nephews, ages 6 and 9 liked it! I added some sliced oranges to the top to dress up the presentation. I'd definitely make it again. Next time, I'm trying it with strawberry instead. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
My husband and I loved this! I added the diced tomatoes with the chiles in it for some extra kick along with a little chili powder. I served it over brown rice. I don't agree with another reviewer's assessment that this was hard to make - it wasn't at all and had a great flavor. We had left overs and ate them the next day - even better when the spices have more time to set in. I'll definitely make this again!

Slow Cooker Carolina BBQ

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
OMG...how good! My husband is a North Carolinian originally and living in Pennsylvania, he always says it's hard to get real Carolina BBQ here. I made this for him this weekend and he was impressed. He's asking for it again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
Easy, delicious recipe. I didn't have any dry Italian dressing mix so I used the bottled ingredients - still turned out great. I also added about 1/2 cup of half & half, stirred and let it cook for a few minutes because I thought the sauce was too thick for my liking. Also, I used the pre-cooked chicken strips that I had in my freezer. Turned out wonderfully! Will definitely make again!

Basil Pesto Bread

I made this with store-bought pesto - I didn't have time to go through the pesto making process. It turned out great. I would definitely use this as an appetizer for a party in the future!

Really great flavor - especially after the first day. I've been eating my leftovers for lunch and the soup is even better than it was when I originally made it. I will definitely make this one again!

Raspberry Walnut Baked Brie

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I made this with apricot jam and walnuts. The flavor was great but I had to bake much longer than 20 minutes to get my brie nice and melted. I think next time, I'd rather try it in individual pastry puffs. I will try this again!
