Imma Mom, Wife and come from a huge family that loves to cook. My Brother, Butch, makes the best Louisiana Seafood Gumbo, and Mama makes the best Chicken Gumbo that I have ever tasted! I certainly aspire to be able to learn to create a rue like their's some day. Mama also makes THE BEST Thanksgiving and Christmas Dressings, along with BEST Potato Salad, which is tradition in our family as well. There was a time in my life in which I did LOVE to cook, and I did it well. I am hoping to get back into it. It makes me so happy to cook for others and put a smile on people's faces, especially my hubby and son's. Quiche, Mac N Cheese, Holiday Dishes & Summer Salads. My Mama's Turkry Dressing is the BEST and I now am the taster for the dressing before it goes into the oven. My Daddy used to be the taster, God Rest His Soul, until he passed on January 25, 2000. We miss him so much during the holidays. Our holidays are filled with family tradition and I am so thankful for that! Quiche Lorraine; Way back, when I was in college, I cooked for a guy I was dating! It turned out delicious, although I didn't know he didn't like green onions/scallions onions! HA HA! Too bad for him! Have to think back on this one! LOL... Oh... I know, cooking my potatos to soft for our family famous potato salad, it almost turned into potato soup! It was for a family get-together and I was so embarressed!
