Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
This was such an easy delicious recipe! I don't normally like chocolate chip cookies but these were really good. I followed the recipe almost exactly except I followed some reviewers suggestions and did not sift ingredients and I refrigerated dough for about 40 minutes. I cooked them exactly 15 minutes and they made 18 big, chewy cookies just like the recipe states.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
This was a really good mac n cheese. I increased the pasta to 2 cups and used 2% cheeses and 1% milk. Very good! My family likes lots of pepper on food but if I were to make this for company or a party, I would definitely reduce the pepper.

This bread was delicious! I followed the recipe exactly but next time I will use applesauce in place of the oil for a healtier version.

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
This was a delicious recipe! My husband said it was the best baked ziti he's ever had. I used ricotta rather than cottage cheese and both sliced and shredded mozzarella. I mixed all the cheeses and sour cream together instead of layering individually. Wonderful!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
This was good and would be even better with guacamole. I left out the green peppers because I thought that ingredient was strange in this dish.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

These were delicious! My husband thought they could use more pumpkin but I thought they were great. I drizzled them with melted white chocolate. Yum!

This was enjoyed by all my guests at a party. I added some cheddar cheese into the mix and baked with breadcrumbs. Pretty good!

The Twenty Dollar Burger

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I wasn't a fan of these burgers. I felt that the mix of seasonings and sauces just didn't blend well together. They kind of overpowered the burger. I gave this recipe 3 stars only because my husband liked it but I won't be making these again.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
This is the easiest sugar cookie dough to work with. I doubled the vanilla and rolled out the dough on parchment paper wih powdered sugar. I love thick, soft cookies so this recipe made about 40 thick cookies for me. So delicious!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Oh wow! This soup was absolutely delicious! I added a can of black beans and the recipe ended up being too much for my crock-pot so I cut back on the water and corn. I'm glad I did! The consistency was perfect. I can't wait to eat the leftovers.

Yum! This is the perfect winter recipe. I used chicken broth instead of boullion, bacon instead of ham and cheddar cheese instead of american.

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This was a good recipe and I will use this again for a party or potluck. Like other reviewers, I cut the brown sugar in half. I also added some cornstarch to thicken the sauce as it was very thin. Edit: I doubled this recipe for a party and cooked it in the oven on low heat for a few hours. It turned out even better than the crockpot. The sauce was much thicker. I received tons of compliments and requests for the recipe. It was such a hit!

BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
These meatballs are delicious!! I followed the recipe exactly except I only cooked them for 40 minutes rather than the hour. Also, I followed other suggetions and used KC Materpiece BBQ sauce. They came out soooo yummy.

Always A Winner Grilled Chicken

This was the BEST marinade I've made! I followed the recipe exactly only omitting the white wine because I didn't have any. I will definitely be making this again. YUM!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
I don't know what I did wrong with the topping, but it melted into the muffins leaving big holes in them. Although they didn't look that good, they were delicious. I added 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg into the batter and substituted oil for the butter. A good recipe but next time I won't use the topping and I will try aplesauce rather than the oil.

Zucchini Herb Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I followed everyone's advice and changed this recipe a little (OK, maybe alot). I used 1 cup brown rice cooked w/a chicken bouillon cube. I added 1/2 cup regular onion (rather than green), 1/2 green and red peppers and 3 cloves garlic. I upped the basil and oregano to 2 teaspoons and the paprika to 1 teaspoon. Everything was sauteed in 1T olive oil and then I used mozzerella cheese instead of the cheddar. Turned out great with all those changes.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
This was soooo good with a few changes. I added taco seasoning to the meat, used both chili and black beans, added corn, used mexican mixed cheese rather than just cheddar and then layered the meat and chips twice. Chips stayed nice and crunchy on the top layer and soaked up all the flavors on the bottom layer. Yum!!!
