I don't know why you would change the recipe as these are excellent just like they are! Best ever! I really like them when they are cooked long enough to be brown all the way around....so chewey and yummy.
I once made them about 1" across and after they were cooled down, dipped them in chocolate, and it was almost like a candy bar....perfect treat!
The hardest part about making these is the mixing. My KitchenAid mixer was working hard, but mixing by hand was quite a workout.
Thank you so much for the fantastic recipe...my husband is a macaroon lover and these were a big hit! They'll be on the Christmas Cookie tray tomorrow and I know they won't last...even though I doubled the recipe this time.
