Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
AMAZING! I am so particular about what kind of cookie I like and this is it! My mom and I have tried to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe for years and have thrown out a lot of cookies because they were awful - the search is over now. My 4 year old son asked to make cookies this morning so I hopped on All Recipes and typed in "chewy chocoloate chip cookies" and picked this one to try. They mixed up really well. I was a little thrown off by melting the better but after reading the reviews I did it. I only had 1/2 a cup of butter so I made up the difference with a 1/4 of a cup melted margarine. I did everything else as the recipe stated except I did put the dough in the fridge for an hour before scooping the dough onto the parchment lined cookie pan. I baked each batch for about 16 minutes. The cookies were barely turning golden brown on the edges and they were very light in color, but after letting them rest on the hot cookie sheet for a couple more minutes - they were perfect. I did put the uncooked dough back into the fridge between scooping each batch. YUMMY!

Buzzsaw's BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
AWESOME!!! My family loves pork barbeque and we are very picky about our sauces. This one was one of the best I have ever eaten or made. It would be great with chicken, too.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This is a really good - and simple - macaroon recipe. It takes no time to whip them up and bake them. I added a little almond extract the last time I made them and it added a nice touch. I am also planning to make another batch and dip them in a little bit of chocolate on one side. It states that the recipe makes 12 cookies. I found that those are large cookies. I like to make smaller cookies. I usually get about 20 smaller cookies out of this recipe.

Summer Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
My husband loves zucchini and squash, so I am always looking for different ways to cook them. This is a great recipe. It has a real "Sunday dinner" taste. The stuffing gives it most of its flavor. You really wouldn't know you were eating zucchini if you aren't the one that made it. It is something I will make again and again.

Cornbread Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
I had never had cornbread salad until a couple of weeks ago at a new Barbeque restaurant in town. I loved it and knew my husband would to. I needed a recipe, so I hopped on AR and found one. It was wonderful. I did make a few adjustment though. I didn't put as many onions as it called for and also added some roasted red peppers. It was wonderful !!!

Butterscotch Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
This was my first attempt at a cheesecake and I am happy to say that it was a success! This recipe is wonderful and it was so easy. The only thing I wasn't sure about was if the pudding was suppose to be "cook and serve" or "instant" pudding. I bought the instant and used it and it came out perfect. Recently a small bakery opened in the town I work in. The lady that owns it makes wonderful cheesecakes. I took my husband out to lunch there a couple of weeks ago. He tried her butterscotch cheesecake and really liked it. Therefore, I had to find a recipe for one. I went directly to the allrecipes website and found one. He said this recipe was far better than the one at the bakery. That always makes a wife happy!
