About this Cook
I am a homemaker and a kindergarten teacher. I have been married for 15 years and have two children. My daughter is 11 and my son is 4. They keep me very busy. I enjoy cooking and keeping my house clean. Although, I don't have enough time to do either one as much as I would like. I enjoy trying new foods and getting to know other people that have the same interests.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything, especially when I have time to do so without being interupted. I tend to cook alot of Italian dishes and sweets. I love very few things more that making a good meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make pies. My mom and grandmother both love to bake. I still love going to my parents house and cooking a meal with my mom, especially on the holidays. It is something that me and my mom share that she doesn't share with my sister.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I make something that my husband says is "a keeper!" I feel triumphant. It also pleases me when my daughter asks for something specific that I make from scratch.
My cooking tragedies
Not long ago, I grabbed the wrong oil dispenser when I went to put a little oil over my spaghetti noodles. My daughter and husband bit into their spaghetti and told me it tasted like soap. I had accidentally grabbed my dishwashing soap dispenser instead of the oil dispenser. I was in a hurry! I made another batch of noodles. I was thankful they started eating before I did.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
AMAZING! I am so particular about what kind of cookie I like and this is it! My mom and I have tried to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe for years and have thrown out a lot of cookies because they were awful - the search is over now. My 4 year old son asked to make cookies this morning so I hopped on All Recipes and typed in "chewy chocoloate chip cookies" and picked this one to try. They mixed up really well. I was a little thrown off by melting the better but after reading the reviews I did it. I only had 1/2 a cup of butter so I made up the difference with a 1/4 of a cup melted margarine. I did everything else as the recipe stated except I did put the dough in the fridge for an hour before scooping the dough onto the parchment lined cookie pan. I baked each batch for about 16 minutes. The cookies were barely turning golden brown on the edges and they were very light in color, but after letting them rest on the hot cookie sheet for a couple more minutes - they were perfect. I did put the uncooked dough back into the fridge between scooping each batch. YUMMY!

Buzzsaw's BBQ Sauce
AWESOME!!! My family loves pork barbeque and we are very picky about our sauces. This one was one of the best I have ever eaten or made. It would be great with chicken, too.

Coconut Macaroons III
This is a really good - and simple - macaroon recipe. It takes no time to whip them up and bake them. I added a little almond extract the last time I made them and it added a nice touch. I am also planning to make another batch and dip them in a little bit of chocolate on one side. It states that the recipe makes 12 cookies. I found that those are large cookies. I like to make smaller cookies. I usually get about 20 smaller cookies out of this recipe.
