About this Cook
I married the most amazing man October 6, 2007. We had a baby boy on November 4th, 2008! I am a stay-at-home mom and LOVE to cook and bake!
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything! I love trying new recipes. I love to cook with chicken. Lately, I have been baking a lot of desserts and although it's fun, I my waistline might like me to cut back a bit. I have recently expanded to jellies and jams which I really like.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking bread SUCCESSFULLY just the other day, making the Amish White Bread! I am so happy and have been making it quite a bit. It is just so easy and I have NEVER been able to make a good bread before!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs
LOVE this recipe!!!!! I quadrupled the sauce and put half in a ziploc bag with the cut up chicken pieces and half in a ziploc bag with red peppers, onions and pineapple. I marinated everything for about 9 hours. I drained the sauce off the veggies and saved it to baste the kabobs with while on the grill. I soaked the kabob sticks for a while (though not long enough) then alternated chicken, fruit and veggies on the sticks. I put the kabobs on the grill (next time I'll turn the heat down a bit before putting them on) but left the sticks hanging out of the grill. Once they were finished cooking I put a piece of aluminum foil under them so they would keep warm but not char too much. That's when I basted them with the extra sauce. They were to die for!!! I can't wait to make them again!!!!!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
SO GOOD!!! I used leftover ham from Easter and whatever veggies I had; corn, celery, carrots, onion and potatoes. I also added leftover mashed potatoes which thickened it nicely. Loved it and it was so easy to make!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf
This is a really good meatloaf! I used the brown sugar and ketchup on the bottom of the pan and on top of the meatloaf. I think the meatloaf itself needs a bit more flavor. I tried adding some ketchup/brown sugar and garlic to the meatloaf but it still didn't have much flavor.
