Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
This is the first recipe I tried and, aside from needing to find the right temp for the pan, they were just what I was looking for :)

My family loves these, especially for the kiddos. The neighbor kids love them if I leave out the cocunut and they are a healthy alternative to th regular muffins.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
Everyone loved it and said they liked it better than honey-baked. I exchanged half the corn syrup for molasses and it gave it a more smoky flavor :)

Thick Cut-Outs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I hated these, but my husband who likes desserts that aren't too sweet thought they were good. Maybe it's because I wasn't making a cookie that I wanted to taste frosting. Without the frosting these are VERY bland- I ended up putting bluberry jelly on mine and eating it like a biscuit. I added extra sugar, vanilla, and some lemon extract after reading the reviews that these tended on the bland side and they are still too bland. Maybe I should have used almond extract instead, but the recipe as written is so far from the sweet sugar cookies I enjoy that I can't even recommend this as a base recipe. If you like to have just a hint of sweetness or enjoy the taste of icing over the cookie flavor this recipe might work perfectly for you since they do have a great texture and consistancy.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
This was the best meatloaf we've ever had! I used Better Cheddar crackers, sifted the onions out of the mix to make them less salty, and added the glaze of 3 T ketchup, 1 T honey, and 1/2 T worcestire.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was only 5 stars after using some revisions from reviewers. I added a 1/4 c red wine, only 1 can soup, 1/2 packet onion mix, and seared the meat with garlic salt, pepper, and flour before slow cooking.

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
Very good as a side dish- exactly what I was looking for. I would not use this recipe for a dessert, though- not quite decadent enough for my taste :)

Guinness® and Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
FANTASTIC!!!!! EVERYONE WHO TRIED IT LOVED IT, & IT WAS EVEN BETTER THE NEXT DAY. I DIDN'T HAVE A SPRING FORM PAN, SO I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS OF USING A LARGER BASE PAN WITH WATER IN IT AND COOKED THE CHEESECAKE IN A GLASS PAN LINED WITH FOIL. COOKED UP BEAUTIFULLY AND THE CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE DOVER THE SIDES HID THE IMPERFECTIONS FROM THE FOIL.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Best sugar cookie recipe I've ever had! These cookies turn out similar to Mrs. Field's or Otis Spunkmeyer that you would buy at the mall. I would not use these for cutout cookies, but for a round sugar cookie, I will never try another recipe again.

Bill Clinton's Lemon Chess Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
This recipe was fantastic!!! I personally would give it 5 stars because I love lemon- to the point of scraping off the meringue on a lemon meringue pie. However it was a little too overpowering for my husband and a friend who also like lemon but aren't as fanatical as myself. I halved the recipe as other reviewers advised and it was the perfect amount for my 9" crust.
