Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Is it supposed to be this runny? It may be that I used soy milk BUT this isn't that good even if it was thicker. It's way too sweet. If I try to make it again w/cow milk I'd def. use less sweetend cond. milk. It's like just drinking that.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Great recipe as is. I made my rice right before & steamed some brocolli florets & carrot chips. I used these veggies instead of the meat.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
*Con's: Not as sweet as I hoped, I had to leave it in for 1hr. 15min which made the bottom burnt tasting. *Pro's: The top of this bread looks amazing! Soft on the inside & crunchy on the top. It's a great bread if you have a honey butter etc. to serve with. Easy to make, very moist, great tecture. ~Overall a good bread but I will make some adjustments formy personal taste.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Made it as written (weird that I have to say that) & it came out great. Not as tart as I would've liked so I may add a little lemon juice next time but other than that it was wonderful!!

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Nice recipe. My Son made it as written & it came out ok. It was quite dry even after being covered some breads soften but this one didn't. It actually seemed to get harder. Ok with coffee but not that great.

Great base recipe. I changed it too much after not liking the actual recipe to give it 5 stars.

Easy & yummy. I didn't leave some in long enough & they were doughy inside. Lesson learned! I filled mine w/lemon curd.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
These were pretty good, not the best. I deducted a star because they tasted very salty. The flavor was a little off IMO. I am going to try them again w/less or no salt. With both baking powder & soda already in it I don't see the need for more salt & may be why I didn't care for the flavor.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
Wonderful recipe as is. I just added more sugar to the top, a tiny bit more cornstartch, & broiled the top to brown it for a few sec. LOVELY recipe! I also felt there wasn't enough crust but after baking it was perfect!

Whipped Cream Filling

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
I thought I was going to have problems by how long it took to get stiff but it came out w/a great texture & covered my cake wonderfully. I did taste it as is & it was aweful. I added a Tbs. of vanilla tasting after every little bit. It may have possibly been 2 Tbs. After adding some flavor it was lovely!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
This was DELICIOUS! A keeper for me. I made it exactly the first time then added some copped cranberries & added more filling (brn. sugar etc.) UPDATE 5/15/10 I have tried to make this after about 3 times & it has been soggy at the bottom each time. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong now. I do use frozen blueberries & maybe the fresh cranberries helped w/that in the first 3. I will try it in a 9x13 now.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I thought this was a great recipe. Mine aren't as pretty as others lol but just as delicious. I made half a batch exactly & the other half I halved the baking powder the next batch & they both came out good with a little flavor difference in taste. I preferred the half version best. Lovely recipe that I will use again for sure, thanks for sharing!!!!

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
This was a great recipe! Pro's: Bottoms didn't ever get dark, soft w/o tasting underbaked, keep well & don't lose their softness. Con's: Has a tiny it different taste form other cookies in my opinion very vague but I can taste it BUT I did 1/2 the vanilla-don't like it too sweet, dry batter but that's how I know they'll be good-lol I just added a Tbs water & it was fine. I will make these again for sure. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
