Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
This recipe ROCKS! I've been craving apple pie ever since I bought an apple crisp scented plug in from Bath & Body Works a couple weeks ago. However, I've never made a fruit-filled pie before. I found this recipe and it did not disappoint! I did change a little after reading some reviews. I sprinkled in cinnamon, nutmeg, a tad of ground cloves and a few drops of vanilla. After cooking the mixture in the stove, I poured most of it over the apples in a bowl to coat before transferring them into my already made, frozen pie crust (remember, this is my first fruit pie, can't go too crazy by making homemade crust just yet). Then I took another thawed out already made pie shell and laid it over the top, pinching the sides and cutting the top to vent. I used what was left of the mixture to brush on top (doesn't take much at all). I baked it at 350 for one hour. And I couldn't wait for it to cool, I ate it hot! Sooooooooo good! Definitely the go to apple pie recipe!
