Easy Masoor Daal

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
Very tasty with a great texture. I let the lentils soak in water all day, doubled the recipe, and served with rice and naan. I will definitely make again.

Tasty and easy .. I didn't use all of the powdered sugar - I used closer to 3 cups.

Snickerdoodles IV

Used 3 tsp baking powder instead of baking soda and cream of tartar. Tasted great!

Hearty Oatmeal Loaf

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Pretty tasty ... the center of my bread collapsed in the bread maker - I probably just need to adjust the ingredients a bit next time.

Tasty! I made it with cheddar cheese since that is what we had available. It looks great when it is done.

Banana Rice Pudding

Quick and easy to make. We had a bit of leftover rice from dinner and this made a great dessert.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

We needed to add more milk and butter - otherwise it seemed too dry.

Cinnamon Sour Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Very tasty. I also doubled the cinnamon and sugar and used a combination of sour cream and yogurt since I ran out of sour cream.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Tasty but with a bit of a strange after taste (which may have been due to the marinated artichokes). I didn't have garlic pepper and used garlic powder, salt, and pepper instead.

So tasty! Loved this recipe and it came out of the bundt pan perfectly.

Turkey Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Surprisingly tasty! I had never cooked with cabbage before and had a lot of fun putting together these rolls. This was a lot of food (left overs for the two of us for a week) so next time I might cut the recipe in half so we don't get sick of it.

Moroccan-Style Stuffed Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
My husband loved this recipe and I thought it was fair - not quite enough flavor me (although the bites that had a good bit of the butter-sugar topping were delicious). The raisins were definitely a highlight of this recipe and next time I'll throw even more in.

Stir-Fried Pumpkin

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
This was definitely different than anything we have ever made before and although it wasn't my favorite we still finished it off. We did use a "normal" halloween pumpkin instead of one of the cooking pumpkins which might have thrown off the flavor a bit.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
My husband loves Macaroni grill so when I told him this one was supposed to taste just like their famous bread he was all in. This was a quick recipe to throw into the bread maker and in the end my husband declared that it did taste just about like the "real" thing. We had it with some olive oil and balsmic vinegar - amazing!

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Very tasty ... I tried cooking the squash whole in the oven but it took over an hour so in the end I cut it in half and finished it off in the oven for about 15 more minutes. I used a can of italian stewed tomatoes since we didn't have anything else and it tasted great. I also used parmesean cheese instead of feta. I will definitely make this again and will be a go-to recipe when we have vegetarian guests over to eat. The second time I made this I cut it half and placed it in a baking dish face down with a little bit of water - it cooked in about 40 minutes and was very tender.

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Delicious! I made it with fresh pumpkin that I cooked in the microwave for about 30 minutes and pureed in a blender. I also included the walnut which gave it a great crunch.

Naan

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
Only change I made was to add a bit of baking soda and it turned out great! I stored the dough balls in the fridge for a couple of days and would quickly roll out and cook a naan on a pan on the stove whenever I felt like it.
