Chantal's New York Cheesecake

This doesn't need anymore 5 star ratings but I like this with sour cream so much more than the sweetend cond. milk versions. Those are just too sweet.

I used yellow cake instead of white. This was not as easy to make as I thought it would be. The kids said it tasted like chocolate chip cookies they liked it but it wasn't special at all. Not worth the work.

Great Pumpkin Dessert

Everyone who had this did ask for recipe. I picked this because the other versions called for 20oz of pumpkin and I only had 15oz. After reading reviews I did stir/swish the dry mix and butter after adding it to make sure all of the mix was moist.

We had trouble with this, they came out like little hard loaves. Not fluffy at all. But they tasted good so we are willing to give this another try.

Its a good recipe, we ate it but it wasn't a favorite. I think the quality of your garam masala would greatly effect the finished dish.

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Great recipe. I cooked up the whole package of bacon and passed the extras to add at the table. I also added to much garlic, will watch that next time.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

4 stars because they are not really buttery at all. If you brush them with butter after done baking they are buttery. Good recipe but I only needed 3 to 4 cups flour. I'll make it again.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are not crisp cookies, they are basically banana bread in texture. But my kids will eat them and they won't eat banana bread! I use less chocolate chips, 2 cups was too sweet for my taste.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Not that this recipe needs any more reviews but I had to add my 5 stars. This IS really great. The dough is sticky to roll out so use extra flour on the board. But the taste is SO worth it. If your light with the decorations add the extra cup of sugar as everyone suggested but if your heavy with the frosting you might not need it. I do use huge amounts of vanilla but that's how I like them.

Blueberry Buttermilk Coffeecake

I made it exactly as written and it was moist but not worth making again or wasting blueberries. I wouldn't bother trying to fix it. I only fix recipes that start out good and this one didn't. It could be 2 stars but I only gave it one because of all of the 5 stars that modified it to make it taste good.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

This take a light dish and makes it heavy and packaged tasting. Real stroganoff uses sour cream and broth, much lighter than this stuff. Not for us at all. Beside real stroganoff only takes 1/2 hour to cook so why bother with a slow cooker.

This was perfect as is. I cooked it in the broiler and the juice was the best! Grilling would have lost all the good juice so I will stick with the broiler from now on.
