Yet another Catholic girl trying to cook Jewish cuisine. I made this for our annual Hannukah/Christmas party and my Jewish in-laws were very impressed. I didn't change a thing with this recipe and found it very moist and delicious - still really good the next day.

Baked Shells in Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2002
Fabulous! I tried this last night and it was fantastic. I used a jarred Arabiatta sauce and of course add spices such as garlic and italian seasoning. What a great way to add tofu into a diet. We're vegetarians and are always looking for new things to do with tofu. I like that the cheese is not overdone in this, just enough to give it some texture. I suggest taking this recipe and playing with it - it so versatile. Two thumbs up.

Mushroom Turnovers

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2004
I'm a little biased because this was my mom's recipe, but it is fantastic. The dough is extremely easy to work with and I use it for other recipes, like mini sausage rolls.

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2002
Good recipe, but I think 4 heads of broccoli would have been too much. I used 2 and found it very moist. I actually liked the level of pepper but I cut back on the amount of salt and used half garlic salt. I also added paprika. I'm not sure what american cheese is, so I used Farmers. Good recipe - quick and easy

Easy Rugalech

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2002
I think more instruction needs to be provided. I've never made rugalech before, so I wasn't quite sure on the proceedures to cut the triangles. In addition, how is one supposed to add the cottage cheese? I ended up with lumpy dough, is there some way to smooth the cheese before using it?
